Does everybody in Rajasthan have last name" Singh"

Saloni's name before marraige - Saloni Singh

After marriage - Saloni Singh

All servants in Brigesh's house - Sumer Singh, Roop Singh, Jeet Singh.. Hukum singh, Phool singh.

Pia(Nahar's younger Sister) was supposed to get married to - Sumer Singh

Shubra is Married to - Kunjan Singh

Do all Rajputs have one common last name, atleast in the SP Serial

Atleast the girls are lucky in Rajasthan that they don't have to worry about a weird last name after marriage(like mine - Touitou...imagine that Simran Touitou (Tvito).😆

😆 excellent observation. I would like to know that too, whether all are singhs in Rajasthan. You are right if they are all singhs in Rajasthan... the girls are lucky there.

I am sure they have different last names in rajputs as well. But this ppl only deal with the singhs. They even hire the servants based on their last names. 🤣 😆

Did you know that this whole 'surname' business is a legacy of the British Raj. before that people were known by their first name - e.g. women were Sarla Devi or Sarla Kumari [ if unmarried ]; in the south, the identification was father's name and village's name; amongst Rajputs because they were just a warrior race from Haryana, Rajasthan and parts of Gujarat, it was to do with the Clan and Thikana they came from - Thikana being the small fiefdom run by a Thakur, given to him by the Maharaja or Maharana of the Clan. So most people in Jodhpur are the Rathore Clan and in Udaipur the Sisodia clan from the Maharana Pratap clan. Howzatt for rsearch !

Thanks for the info.

👏 👏 for the reserch.
