Star struck!

Actor Mazhar Sayyed first got noticed with 'Kahin Kissi Roz'. But it was 'Saat Phere'(Zee) that got him recognition.

Playing Samar, protagonist Saloni's (Rajshri Thakur) brother in the show has been the turning point in his career, "It was sheer destiny that I was offered this role when actor Anand Suryavanshi was to be replaced."

Mazhar enjoys playing the grey character, "Oh! I get loads of flak and people call up to say that I am not a worthy son." Mazhar is even asked why he always gets vamps as wives.

Mazhar reassuringly states, "In 'Kahin Kissi Roz', eventually my negative character turns good. So probably there will be some positive change in this show too!" he laughs.

Wasn't he apprehensive about doing a woman-oriented show? "It is essentially Saloni's journey. But every character has been well-etched. My track is parallel to the lead."

Mazhar harbours the dream of making it big on the silver screen too, "I am trying my best. But the offers are not good enough. Even if I have to wait for 10-15 years, I will. I want to do work that that would make me feel proud. I will make it in films one day.
God does help you achieve your dreams."

Deep in work, Mazhar has no time for fun, "I am single but not ready to mingle. Right now, it's work that I am courting".
