Of course everyone of us knows that this is just the calm before the storm. Saloni is married and everyone seems to love her just fine (even Aditi has come around). It is a different matter that Shubra is creating her own drama in her own house - but what about Saloni???
It cannot be so hunky-dory with her. 'Cos remember the story is about the hardship and travails a dark-skinned girl in India usually faces. So where is her share of troubles?
Enter Nahar's evil twin. Meaning? I think Nahar isn't what he seems on the surface. I think he is either having another affair on the side - or into night-time gambling or some other vice (which is why he was gone so late in the night in the last episode). I think he wanted a simple seedhi-saadhi wife even if she isnt traditionally good-looking so as to chain her into wifedom and house-hold duties and go ahead and have fun on the side.
Else - if Saloni's only trouble is that Nahar doesn't let her sing in the future (as others' are predicting) - then why have a dark-skinned girl for that? You could as well as had a different set-up where it could be shown how in India - even in these days - people are forbidden from singing. Why the dark skin? Obviously they want to show India's prejudices towards dark color. If Nahar accepts Saloni for her dark color so easily and she didnt have a great trouble in finding a groom - then where is the story? And what was the color prejudice hype about?????
I guess - finally Neel will be the good guy and save Saloni. After all the Saath Phere title song is on these two !!!
