Neena upset with TV channels

It's really shocking to know that the woman, who had made a sensitive and much-appreciated serial like Saans more than a decade ago, feels that nobody appreciates creativity today.

But that's a fact and Neena Gupta is quite vocal about it too. "For the past six years, I have given so many ideas to almost all the channels. They tell me idea achcha hai, par bikega nahin. I think channels don't value creativity now. People don't believe this, but the fact is that the channels don't even call me back. So, what can I do? If they don't clear my serials, I have to work in someone else's soaps and I have to work within a particular ambit," says Neena.

Well, what do we say? It's indeed sad to see a producer-director who made one of the most popular shows on TV struggling to even get an adequate hearing for her stories. Are the channel honchos listening?
