To date Saloni has not done too well standing up to society for herself - recent example when she was barren, she thought she was unlucky etc.. So I seriously doubt she can stand up for herself as a widow..

I don't like Kaveri but she did point out a situation to Nahar that many people will frown upon. I don't know why the SP creators are destroying Saloni's reputation. If Saloni starts having feelings for Varun while she's still a married woman, then she's being unfaithful to her husband. So what's worst being labelled a widow or being called an unfaithful wife......Despite how nobel Nahar thinks he is being he is pratically destroying his wife's reputation.
