I have been reading many hints that SP will go the Reincarnation way ......but I strongly feel that resurrection of Saloni .....the lead heroine is more the answer to SP's TRp troubles rather than the worn out theme of Reincarnation .
Saloni is a fighter and a tough lady . Unlike the Vidyas and Sonis of Zee Tv , Saloni believes in fighting for a principle and thats wat endears her to viewers . She is a strange mixture of innocence and fighting spirit .....both points that highlight the Devi element in a woman and capture the hearts of a thoroughly Indian audience .
Yet , there r some points In the character of Saloni that need rectification at this point .
Saloni fights outsiders very well , but endures torture at the hands of personal relations . Be it Tara , Ambika when she is unreasonable , Kaveri , or now Laali Maasi , Saloni tolerates a lot of nonsense and cries . Some of the things these characters have done r pretty bad things but Saloni has seen no wrong in enduring it under the name of good sanskaars . She has not asked Ambika when Ambika treated her badly during her pregnancy ......ur so good to Kaveri who treats u like dirt and I , who always supported u , u have turned against me in a jiffy . She has not fired Kaveri who attacked her character and accused her of having affair with Neel certain very pertinent questions , she has never ever hauled Tara over the coals for her extremely ungrateful behaviour , and she shows no guts to tell Laali Maasi to butt out , Kalika's maasi or no maasi . In this respect we r not getting adequate viewer satisafaction .
Lead heroines like Saloni shud propogate the necessity of good sanskaars but shud also show a viewership of Zee that good sanskaars dont mean being a sitting duck and a target for vultures in the society to come and pick on u and tear u to shreds with their sharp beaks . If Saloni can fight JIji so well , why hasnt she fought Kaveri too ? Coz she is her bro's wife ? Such a double standard doesnt become Saloni .Kaveri is as evil as Jiji and turning ur face and looking the other way only coz she is a personal relation is not right . A lead heroine shud be shown standing up for what is right even if it means confronting ur personal relation .....like ur elder sister in law Tara or bhabi Kaveri .
For instance , in the laali maasi episode , they can show Saloni sharply telling that obnoxious lady to butt out as this is her house too and she is a mere guest. She may be Kalikas maasi , and yes Saloni did a lot for Kalika , but Saloni shud point out that maayka members of bahus simply must live in their limits instead of destroying the peace of a house .....that the same rule applies to Tara's maayka , Saloni's maayka , and now Kalika's maayka too , even Kalika isnt exempt from it as it is a joint family .
Also since Saloni is lead heroine , show her speaking one of the most powerful and effective dialogues of serial history , that our ancestors invented these customs with a scientific base [ a woman bleeds heavily after delivery and needs rest , and the cooking is done by others to give her relief and to nurse her back to health not coz she is ashubh . Our ancestors respected women like hell . See what a profound effect this dialogue will have on an Indian aduience of women and the TRPs . They will soar .}
Another resurrection that they shud do to Salonis character is showing us that she gives priority to her husband and child too . She dances too much for others is the popular irritated opinion of many Saloni fans nowdays . She may be crying a lot now but she really neglected her baby and only did Tara Tara Tara till viewers felt sick . She has often , though not with bad intention , taken Nahar's love for granted and only focussed on Advitya. Also she pokes her nose a lot in others business and doesnt seem to understand the fine line between helping sum one and annoying sumone [ like Tara in her bid to become Advitya's choti Maa]. Show us that Saloni is sensible and realises these finer points .
Goodness isnt weakness and self respect isnt a value to stand up for only with outsiders , u shud defend it even with family members . Show us that Saloni realizes it .
Her relation with Brijesh as a devar is simply beautiful . It shud be continued as it is unique father brother blend , and very effectively portrayed . But show us Saloni fighting Tara and yet maintaining her excellent understanding with Bhaisa as her policy is .....with each a seperate account .
Show us a at least one character like Mannobhabi who occasionally blasts even Saloni the lead heroine and makes her take a good look at herself and realise her mistakes . this will endear Saloni to viewers .
In short resurrect Saloni .....make her more human and credible. Endear her to viewers more . The reincarnation theme is really ghisa pita , try resurrection and the TRPs will soar if all the above qualities r given to Saloni .
