Hey guys,
Here is the WU for today...unfortunately no gupshup today because I am much too behind on work so I'm just going to get right to the update and I'll insert my thoughts here and there. Honestly...not too much happened today other than more Nani ma drama.
Written Update: March 20th, 2012
Malti isn't feeling well and Toasty comes in...Malti vomits and Toasty calls for Nani ma. Nani ma comes and Toasty says that after drinking kaada, Malti is vomiting and not feeling well. Nani ma claims that it's just the usual nausea and vomiting and that Malti just needs to lay down and will be fine. She goes to get nimbu paani for Malti and Malti tells Toasty that she acted like she felt better in front of Nani ma but she still feels really sick...she asks Toasty to call the doctor. Toasty does and the doctor advices her not to give kaada and should only stick the prescribed meds. Toasty is tensed about what to do about Nani ma and her kaada.
At night in TejYa's bedroom, Tej lays out sarees on the bed and asks for Toasty's opinion...Tej says he wants to gift one to Nani ma and to pick one. Toasty says that they all look nice, in a not-in-a-good-mood tone...Tej says that he will gift all of them to her then. He notices that Toasty looks unhappy and asks her about her tension...Toasty explains about Malti but before she can explain what the doctor said, Tej tells her not to take tension and that that is Nani ma's department and that she will handle everything. He keeps saying this and stopping Toasty before she can explain anything ( I love you Tej but you need to stop and LISTEN!! Is it just me or does anyone else see a TejYa misunderstanding in the future? I feel like Tej will think that Toasty was at fault/does not trust Nani ma and will keep wanting to do her own mann maani ) He runs off and Toasty is in full tension mode.
Gyaan and Prachin are playing light puppets and then they stop as Pashu is annoyed. They sleep and Pashu tries to sleep but is unable to. Malti comes and says she knew that he wouldn't be able to sleep and that even she is unable to sleep without him 😊 They share a heart to heart where Pashu talks about how excited he is for the baby to come and how this is the most beautiful phase of his life. Malti agrees and Pashu says that he hopes the baby has his nature but looks like her. Gyaan and Prachin burst out laughing at this point and Malti runs off out of shyness. Pashu scolds them for not letting anyone talk lovingly to each other and Prachin says that they did let them until he mentioned the baby having his nature at which point they couldn't help themselves as they pictured the young baby lifting his arm up in Pashu style and having everyone scared of him 😆 Pashu hits them with a pillow and they go back to sleep...Pashu smiles sweetly at them and lifts his arm up in a loving way as they sleep.
Next morning, Nani ma and Ved are doing pooja. Tej shows the sarees to Nani ma and asks her if she likes them and Nani ma says she does...Toasty says that Tej got these for you. Nani ma refuses to accept them as she has come to give but not to take. Tej tries to convince her and tries to make her change her mind but Nani ma refuses to change her thinking...Ved asks her if she will take prasad...she says she will only accept prasad but nothing else. She asks Toasty to serve breakfast for everyone as everyone must be getting late...she gets up and goes. Tej looks sad that Nani ma didn't accept his gift.
Pitaji and Nani ma are at the dining table...Nani ma notices a plate, cup, etc left on the table and asks Toasty whose it is...Toasty says Nitika was in a hurry to get to office and must have forgotten...she takes it away and Pitaji asks her to serve him breakfast. Nani ma tell PItaji that he brought another son into the house (referring to Nitika), not a bahu, and all the other bahus dance around her and have to do all the work, while she goes to office and comes back home and rests. She tries to tell Pitaji that this may work for now but in the future, there will be problems created between the bahus...she basically tries to brainwash Pitaji into thinking that Nitika's career will affect the unity of the family 😡 (Hello Nani ma...yeh Chaturvedi parivaar hai, led by Maharani Toasty...aisi ghar mein aisi baat kabhi nahin ayegi...Toasty is used to handling everything on her own and she would be the only one to ever have a reason to complain as she was denied her career...but she doesn't even want to work right now so there would be nothing there...and now that Malti is going to have a baby, she'll be busy with her kid and Malti would never have an issue with Nitika having a job...and Toasty-Malti both are used to running the housework themselves without Nitika so there would be no hard feelings >.<) PItaji flashes back to Toasty guaranteeing him that no such thing would occur...but he seems to be in thoughts...Toasty comes with the breakfast for Pitaji then and the convo stops.
Ved tries to help Toasty out in the kitchen in place of Nitika but Toasty insists that she can do it and that he can go do his work. Ved says that he doesn't have any work right now so he might as well do this work (Aww, he's so sweet 😊 The way he want to help Toasty and also share the responsibilities with Nitika 😊) Nani ma comes and gives her gyaan about Ved not falling into this work as it is meant for women. Ved leaves and Nani ma asks Toasty to leave what she is doing and make kaada for Malti...Toasty tries to get out of it at first by diverting the subject and asking to make the tiffin for the men first but Nani ma tells her that Malti is the first priority...Toasty asks her not to feel bad and admits that she called the doctor...Nani ma is a little upset but asks Toasty to trust her and that she knows better than these doctors and she won't let anything happen to Malti...she asks Toasty to make kaada and Toasty reluctantly does.
Toasty takes the kaada to Malti and Malti doesn't want to drink it...she takes one sip and refuses to drink anymore and begs Toasty not to make her drink it...she mentions that the doctor even said not to give. Toasty finally agrees and wonders what to do with the kaada now as Nani ma will scold her if she doesn't give it all to Malti (Why don't you drink it all? 😛 Sacrificing queen ho tum Toasty toh Malti ke liye yeh kaada peelo 😆) She walks out into the hallway with her saree pallu over the bowl of kaada (honestly, that just makes it more obvious that you're hiding something when you're holding it out in front of you and trying to hide it with your saree 😆) She wonders how to get rid of the kaada and then sees the sink and goes to dump it into the sink. (Point A: why are you holding the bowl so high above the sink for the world to be able to see? 😆 Point B: why didn't you just dump it outside PaLti's window?...I'm pretty sure those windows are so big in PaLti's and TejYa's room that you could climb outside and dump it into the bushes if you wanted to 😆...but I guess you had to be "caught" by Nani ma so that would ruin it 🥱) Toasty hears her name called by Nani ma...Nani ma is standing behind her and Toasty closes her eyes like "Nahiiinnn, mujhe pakad gayi!!"
Pre-Cap: Nani ma smiles and asks did Malti drink the kaada? Toasty is caught off guard and then says haan and smiles. Nani ma says acha and turns around...Toasty breathes a sigh of relief but then Nani ma turns around and Toasty looks tense again. (I'm wondering if Nani ma faked not knowing and now she will call Toasty out on it...especially for lying to her...we'll have to wait and see I guess :/ I wouldn't expect any less from this Nani ma though >.< Hope she adjusts/changes soon but I don't think that is likely >.<)
