DC: New entrant -Amit

Amit Verma is the new entrant on the show Saas Bina Sasural. The actor who shot to fame with Hotel Kingston and who played Vidya Balan's fianc in Kismat Konnection will now portray a grey character.

Amit explains his decision saying, "I've always played a romantic lead and for some reason I was never offered a negative role. But when they came to me with this role I couldn't refuse them."

The actor was absent from the small screen for quite some time. "I had taken a sabbatical for sometime as I was trying my luck in Bollywood," says Amit adding, "but now I thought it's high time I do TV.

Actually, I was supposed to do a film but due to some reason that project couldn't take off. I had never quit TV so when I got this offer I couldn't reject it."
