Maayka Cast Protesting

Hello all!

We all know that the cast of Maayka is upset about the Production Team being changed without any reason by the channel. They have refused from shooting and with this decision the telecasts of episodes may suffer in the near future. The channel has even gone to the extent of deciding not to take these actors in any of their show.

Here, i wud like to ask a few questions..

1. Is it right for the cast of a show to refuse to shoot if a decision is taken by the channel against the will of actors?

2. Is it right for the channel to change the Production Team without taking into account the actors' opinion and without even informing them?

3. Is it right for the channel to establish its superiority this way and even go to the extent of pressurising actors with expessions like "Aap naye naye ho..abhi abhi to aapke carrer shuru hua hai?"

What do you people feel about this?

PS: How do u spell Maayka..is this the rite one?

i do not get this 😕 does the production company not own the rights to the show am sure balaji own the rights to their show or is it because they producing this show for zee if this makes sense.

As for rest i do not think its right ...if actors happy with production team , zee should have informed them. Then the fact zee trying to blacklist them and stop them talking is wrong its their right to strike if they wish...also threatening new actors..come on neha bambs old she started in balaji you do not see ekta threatening her do you its stupid new or old if they haev talent thats all that matter and lots of established actors there only some new ones.

i just mean say if balaji own kasamh se right zee cannot suddenly give show to someone else right they just pay to have it ..where has maayka must be zees idea so pay someone to make it

Yeh shouldn't the production house own the rights of the serial. Legally speaking they cannot just switch production houses unless its consented to. Then again, Sony allowed the show Kajal to change production houses but the original producers were behind with paying their actors so it was for its betterment.
However, the actors have every right to strike as they were not given a gd reason for the sudden change. And Zee should not be blackmailing them into complying. Who knows what kind of contracts they has signed with the original producers, maybe the new ones are short-changing them.

So..we agree that the decision taken by Zee is incorrect and they should not have blackmailed the actors. A show is successful coz of team effort..if the actors refuse from shooting where does the show stand? Zee shud understand this.
