but here we are talking about voting results. could understand if we were talking about horses that suddenly decide to take a rest the last 2 or 3 days out of a 14-day voting period. ๐Ÿ˜†but it's too convenient when it comes to people, not horses, and to 2 contestants and not the third.๐Ÿ˜‰

nope. actually the ideal result from a biz standpoint might have been to have aamir in the finals whether or not he deserved it. that way they cld have milked the communal voting patterns we unfortunately see everywhere. right now, they got only the gender and regional plays, and that too with lots of overlap between rohan and tanmay.๐Ÿ˜Š

not really. they will have to do all the other nautanki on stage as well.๐Ÿ˜† i mean, wld someone buy tickets to just hear someone sing some songs well, when the originals are still around? too muc competition even with shows. so X-factor becomes important unless someone's doing playback, which none of these kids will be doing in any serious way imo

totally with u on x-factor. this is the reason why sonu's shows sell so fast...heck, even that hr did great business due to his rock star "image" not singing talent!!! if u have to hear a live performance, what u see matters too along with the singing. even the established singers now a days invest time and energy on being good performers too. if singing was the only thing that matters, why would they do that?

i feel these reality shows have been a mix of singing talent along with stage presence for a long time now. shd not come as a surprise to any one...really.

yes, and i think that anamika had a good blend of both, a combo that worked better than someone else's pure singing talents etc. But it wld be a mistake even for her if she were to fall back only on her singing now because it's her good combo that did it for her. exception would of course be if she cld make a career out of playback singing, which might not be a possibility today.๐Ÿ˜Š

Anamika winning is not mysterious as historically Assam area always wins at the finals.

Aamir disappearance is more mysterious. Guess they could not come to terms. Well let us wait and see as the saga continues.

It is very interesting that one region has won four times in a row..No idea what is going on Aamir's front. Can only wait and watch when the tour to US and other countries proceeds!

Well in 2005 Debu from Assam defeated Vinit whom I considered to be a far better singer. This time round it is different in that vocally Anamika was above the rest.

Yes, except for Debo, all other winnings from that area were completely well deserved. And this time, Zee didn't even go to Kolkata, otherwise we may have had the pleasure of listening to Anwesha who is now in SVOI.
