this was certainly one of Amir's finest performances...but I doubt iif his singing of this song can really be classified among "high pitch singing".....I know ppl will attack me for this.......but if one listens to the original one will realise that "teri deewani"is sung by Kailash kher in the lower octave .This is the one of the most difficlt parts of the song, coz the beginning of the song has very high notes and teri deewani has very low notes.....

But Amir sung Teri deewani in the higher octave, thereby totally eliminating the need to touch on the lowest portion of the song. This gave him the advanttage of choosing an intermediate pitch(since he didn't touhc the low notes) and singing the whole song.......This is an intelligent adjustment done by a good singer, eliminating the need for ahuge range while singing a song.😳..This made the song a lot easier for him...just my two cents.....if anyone has any doubts plz listen to the original.....😳😃

You're right, but I don't think that takes away from his performance. It's quite natural for a young boy his age to feel more comfortable in the higher octave. His range will get wider with age and riyaz. 😊

Several songs of Himani come to my mind as excellent examples of high pitched singing...

gustakhiyan
Gela gela gela dil gela gela
Tujhe dekh dekh sona
