He is someone who appreciate music and he would do anything to make himself better and better everyday. To the audience, Sonu might be the best but to Sonu himself, he still has a lot to learn. He knows his classical album might not do as good as his 'Deewana' or 'Yaad' commercially but still he did it for his own satisfaction and to give something to those people who appreciate good music.

I agree with u totally....He probably does riyaaz everyday.....and he appreciates good music, not just popular music. He also strives to improve everyday, which is wonderful. He is a blessing to music, esp in today's world, where music seems to be dying a slow death. It is nice to see someone like him using his popularity to promote good music and esp, classical music.Hats off to him. 😃

He is indeed a blessing to the indian music. I'm really looking forward to his classical album and hoping the indian stores in our place get the album for me soon (which I've pre-ordered😊).

Sonuji Always talks very highly about Classical singing and asks children to learn classical songs.

But I do not see himself following what he preaching. Is it because he can't or he woul'nt?

i think if you have classical base then it becomes easy to carry out different genres. hmm its like if you know classical you can sing non classical chutki bajake .😆.but not vice versa 😛.

ok another analogy: if you drive in india you can easily drive in any part of the world but reverse its a tough task.

Actually he has recorded some of Mohd. Rafi's classical songs and they are fantabulous! He has a high regard for classical and he enjoys singing it too, but at the same time he realizes that a mainstream voice should be able to sing classical and regular masala type songs.

He does practice what he preaches, and is very good at it too!

Sonu himself learnt late in her carrier the classical...... He dosent know much as he and his father were stage singer for marriage and other functions. No he pretends he knows all....

Good one, ritzbitz 😆😆.

pervezaziz, I don't know how you came up with the conclusion that Sonu pretends he knows all. In fact, he is someone who knows so much about music but would still say 'I'm still learning and have got a lot left to learn.'
