So the US fans got to see and hear the most popular SRGMP C2007 participants. Music lovers got their money's worth.

Following was the show update.

Mauli was first to come on stage and got a very warm welcome as this was the first show in USA and first appearence by SRGMP 2007 contestants. She used her stage skills to the best and she sort of acted as a compare.

Harpret, Junaid, Sumedha and Mussart rocked the show and were welcomed warmly. Their performances were great.

Diwaker proved once again that he could steal the lime light even singing with these most popular C2007 singers. He got standing ovation from all present.

Raja came and the mode changed all togther. The first song was a duet with Mauli. Raja Rocked the stage and had every one clapping. Raja was the only one besides Mauli and Harpreet to have shown excelent use of the stage.

Aneek came and did ok but he did'nt sounded good and was showing some sort of attitude " may be getting some Himesh influence "

Group prformances at the end were not well coordinated and were not as good as the solo performances

Sound systems was lauod also not good though Raja and Diwaker still sounded very good and very professional . We missed Amanat, One section of the large crowed was chanting for Amanat. New Jersey congressman was also present. They announced that he was instrumental in helping for Junaid and Mussart's Visas.

Raja came into the crowd may times and I was also one of the lucky one to shake hands with Raja, Then one of the organizers escorted all the male contestants to all sections of the crowed in the arena. They shock hands with fans.

Junaid was hugged by a few female fans. Most of us were able to shake hand with all of them.

Well Raja stole the show and Muali and Dewaker also were not far behind.

Over all it was a good show, especially all the VIP seats were full to capacity" amazing that those VIP seats costed $200 to $250 each.

Yesterday I went to the show with a huge crowd and all of us came back home wondering if the two hours of traveling was worth the trouble. I don't know how many people from this forum went but this is what we felt:

No planning or not enough rehearsals took place before the show.
Mouli who is in our opinion an okay singer(screaming more than singing).

Harpreet an okay singer and talking unnecessarily, and desperate for the audience approval.

Sumedha didn't have enough opportunity to sing Mouli kept on interrupting.

Junaid good performer and better prepared than Harpreet and may be a little tired.
Wanted to hear Mussarrat a little more but he was not given a chance to sing.

It definitely looked like they were trying to promote Raja and that was the purpose of the show. He is a good stage performer but singing is okay.He did a lot of running around so most probably his voice was taped. I don't see how one can sing and run as much as he did.

Diwakar did good but as a singer he needs to grow more.He didn't need to be there.

Aneek is the champion but he was given (least amount of time) only three solo songs to perform and we were totally disappointed for not being able to hear more of his renditions. He in our opinion the best.

Boogie Woogie dancers unnecessary.

Last one hour horrible loud music and Mouli screaming and everyone on the stage doing anything and everything. We came home with a huge splitting headache. Loud noise and the singers were telling each other (I guess) what they should sing was not acceptable.

I think they need to tape themslves performing first and see where they need to improve. We spent money to enjoy not come home with disappointments.

This is their first time abroad and they should make sure that the show is enjoyable for everyone. Oh yes, we did miss Amanat.

Thanks Bellvue for your update as well. Looks like the show was not properly orgainised or controlled. Frankly I luv to hear Mussarat too for he really raises the bar to an unreachable level.
