In my opinion,the best suited for this song among both boys and girls will be Vasundhara.Among boys alone ....well,Rohit,Vibhore or Aamir cld try it.They wld do reasonably good job.
This song has a very simple tune.The magic of this song comes from the feel/pathos it generates.I think no one can beat Vasundhara at that.

I think Amir or Rohit will do a good rendition of this song,
but I dont think anyone can give a super performance like Sameer, maybe I am biased.

Yes agreed but I would not say "pathos" as it makes it sound so terribly pitiful, perhaps just sad or emotional. I cud be wrong as certain persons have a deeper emotional guage, which sadly I lack.

Summerji ur emotional quotient is fine 😊.If anything, it wld be my EQ that shoots up on listening to Gulzar's songs 😆Maybe,pathos is not the right word,dunno.....😊

I thought that pathos cld be used to describe feelings of ,deep sorrow/tenderness too which is the emotion I think this song conveys......

Muskuraye to muskurane ke karz utarne honge

muskuraaon kabhi to lagta hai jaise hothon pe karz rakha hai'

where a smile becomes a debt to be repaid,life becomes very sorrowful,i guess...These lines give me goosepimples.....But this is just my point of view.I cld be way off the mark.(EQ skyrocketing....😆 )

No you are right. It is just my mental inability to accept anyone being in the most pitiable condition; perhaps due to lack of compassion.
