He may indulge in minor TRP games w/ Himesh, but he will not let anyone tamper with the life of a participant. If he feels votes were incorrect, he may have strong reason to feel so.

Note that he hasn't said Amanat should rightfully have won. Even when Nihira lost last time, he never said votes were manipulated. Yes, he felt people didn't vote correctly, but he never suspected foul play. Why does he suspect foul play in the case of Raja, and what does he have to gain from bringing up this issue for Raja? He may know something we don't.

I don't want to go into the authenticity of voting. There is no auditing of votes being done, so until that happens, anyone can make any guess.

But yes, Ismail is not manipulative, he just says what he perceives, right or wrong, and later even apologizes if he made a false allegation. In C-2005, he said something about votes from North-East not coming through because of some hanky-panky. Later, he withdrew that statement because it was unfounded. He's not like Himesh, playing demoralising-games with contestants or hogging the limelight or thinking of how to garner credit for himself.

When Aneek and Abhijit made a sudden entry, he didn't find it quite right and questioned it right away. Later, when he saw that nothing could be done about it, he just accepted it and let the show go on.

Frankly, I only take his critical comments about music and singing seriously. If he says someone didn't sing in sur, I would pay attention to that. But if he talks about voting trends and such things without solid proof, I won't take him seriously, but I won't condemn him too.

I fail to understand why there's so much hue and cry about Aneek winning 😕 Aneek topped the voting as many times Raja did(give or take away a few episodes)..Towards the end, they were both evenly matched with regards to votes...Aneek almost consistently stood first or second,so it shouldn't be astounding or shocking at all that he won!! 😕

ID's remonstration is meaningless...Aneek has won,PERIOD!!..Aneek is as gifted as Amanat and Raja..That Amanat is the best singer is ID's personal opinion,he shouldn't be passing it off as a universal opinion...Raja's popularity was gargantuan, confined to the studio and Internet forums mainly...The studio audience are just a handful,as against the millions of global viewers ..The true acid test is the public votes!!

Aneek is an exceptionally talented bloke, who sings ever so mellisonantly...Personally,I preferred Raja, but that does not undermine or belittle Aneek's brilliance..I thoroughly supported Raja through thick and thin even when some of his performances didn't match upto the expectations, but the championship was indeed the crowning glory, and that belongs to Aneek..Some of Aneek's performances have been absolute gems, good enough to compete for the pride of place in SRGMP history....I only wish success doesn't turn his head(a la his beloved mentor)

It's pure hypocrisy on ID's part to gainsay the results when he himself went on record umpteen times to say that all the three of them are winners..If he truly did feel that Aneek was lacking in something,he ought to have voiced his opinion on the show...Having doled out 10 marks to EVERY DARN SINGER(even Mauli),ID shouldn't carp about the deserving not winning...

But, still, it seems to me that inevitably push come to shove and some segment of the voting pool was going to be strategic and choose between Raja and Aneek anyway, that is what I mean by abandoning. So that being the case, why not break the glass ceiling on these contests and have a young woman competing at the final stage at the very least, even if the odds of winning were not there. At least that would be some sort of progress. I know Sanchita won Lil Champs, but that was a child's competition. SRGMP Challenge series has yet to get beyond this "best among girls" token title. At least they gave Poonam a car....I hope she actually gets that car without any shenanigans.

Quoting my own post because I just remembered....three-way mega-finals including Amanat probably had something to do with Zee's wanting to keep "international contest" theme going.

Back to the ID topic, what does ID have to gain by saying Raja should have won?

He claimed that based on the singing abilities Amanat should have been the winner and based on the popularity Raja should have been the winner. He also claimed that when he was travelling by train from Bombay to Surat today everyone in the compartment said that "humne Raja ke liye itna vote kiya to woh sab gaya kaha"? He also hinted at some foul play by Zee TV that made Aneek the winner.

However, in the same interview Raja was very sweet and diplomatic. He said that I am sad that I could not see the happy faces of my parents but when I saw the happy faces of Aneek's parents, I was not sad anymore. That was really sweet Raja, and you are a genuinely nice person, and I wish you the very best on your future.

However, the other contestant Amanat acted just like his mentor.

OK, that's enough of what I saw on the TV. Now let me put down my feelings.

Ismail Darbar, please stop acting like a *******. Please accept that the supporters of Aneek voted more than the supporters of Amanat and Raja. Thats it.

Moreover, we all know how your career is moving right now. You haven't had a movie after Kisna. I am sure you are frustrated to the bone. You had come up with an album which exploded like a bomb on your face. The only source of income you have is this show for which Zee called you for two consecutive years. I really don't think it is a good idea to piss of Zee TV at this point.

Also, you are supposed to come out with another album in your own voice through T-Series that Himesh has managed for you. It was only for Himesh that you got the contract with T-Series. We all know the quality of voice you have. It can put a *******. I don't think Bhushan Kumar is deaf to sign you for an album if it was not for Himesh. And we have all seen how you have buttered Himesh for that throughout the show. So, pissing off Himesh at this point is really not a good idea for you.

******* all the people in the compartment said that they voted for Raja because you were travelling from Bombay to Surat. I strongly recommed you should take a train from Calcutta to Guwahati, and everything will be crystal clear to you why Aneek won. There you will see most of the people saying we voted for Aneek. Chalo train ticket main kharid ke dunga. You just take the train.

BTW, if you keep on pissing of people this way then it is not long that you will go back to your Violin Playing days.

Footnote: Moderators, please note that I did not call ID a donkey. I was just comparing his voice quality. 😛

Peace.

You know what's interesting about this? The fact that one of the MENTORS, who is inevitably PART OF THE SHOW, feels suspicious at the results and that Zee is up to something... really fuels the belief that Zee did something.

Notice how Ismail said he thought by talent-Amanat, by votes- Raja. It shows he isn't simply one dimensional and hardheaded like Bappi da was when he walked out upon Mauli's elimination leaving poor Sumedha in shock.

You sound like a hardcore Aneek fan.

He's alright. Not bad. I was just surprised he really won. I predicted this earlier on in the competition--that Zee would make him win, and I actually had more faith in Zee than this... but the odds are looking bad.

Unless Aneek's fans magically came up with money (or saved a lot) for the finals, (considering online voting didn't count) there really is no way he could've won.

There's no reason to attack the character of the Gurus or the contestants, dear.

Aneek did nothing wrong.

The Gurus did nothing wrong (if anyone, perhaps Himesh, but even that is not for certain).

The Indian pop culture really cannot be totally trusted. (Desi pop culture in general). If they can so easily plagiarize an American movie, then why can they not mess with the results?

I don't understand why people bash on the Gurus for voicing their opinions AFTER the competition is over. It's not hypocricy to say all three are winners, but this person, by popular vote should have won the finals, and this person, by talent, should have won. They are all three winners. They were the highlights of the final show (which was crappy). Big music producers saw them.

I actually was hoping none of the Gurus would bring anything like this up, because I don't want to be suspicious aganinst Zee. I was already proud to see they took it to the next level and allowed it to be international. My doubts are even more fueled.

It can be considered abandoned if the people who honestly think he has the talent to be the winner do not vote for him based on other factors apart from his singing.

These fans may have meant the competition to him.

ID believes tht amanat waz da bst in da same way VS and HR feels tht their students are da bst.its absolutely unfair on id's part 2 b suspiciouc of zee tv just becz amanat didn't win.he felt amanat waz no.1 bt how can he dismiss da public opinion.aneek won by a margin of nearly 30 lakh votes over amanat.ismail thinks tht da srgmp audience is confined 2 only tht train compartment in which he waz travelling??

wud he have said da samething when his gharana's debo won??every1 knew tht he won just becz of da biased voting done in assam.vinit deserved 2 b da winner bt did himesh wid da help of media give such nasty remarks??

this waz just a contest & it's a wonder tht ismail hasn't taken it wid a sporting spirit.da truth iz tht aneek has won & ppl like ismail is simply dissatisfied wid it.ismail ji u can shout at da top of ur voice questioning aneek's talent bt da audience has given its verdict, uncle!!
if u can't b happy 4 a young budding talent's success then u're a loser.
