SMS Voting - Money Making Racket Realty
The giant TV Shows have a new money making scheme at the public's expense. Start a new Realty Show and get the public to SMS voting. Imagine just for the Indian Idol finale they received more than 7 Crore votes which means they made more than 7 Crores just on SMS voting in addition to the paid advertisements.😡
Does the deserving person win the title? I don't think so. I think there should be public awareness about these scheming realty shows like:
Indian Idol
Sa Re Ga Ma Pa
Star Voice of India
Nach Baliye
Jhalak Dikhla Ja

and other realty shows that I do not know of nor do I care to.
So the IF buddies - what is your opinion?

I think the right thing to do wud be this...
1. Provide 50/50 weightage to public & judges until the final 3.From there, it can be on popular choice alone...
2. Dont charge exhorbidant rates for SMS>.. It shd be the same fare as me smsing a normal number
3. DO not allow multiple voting.. you can make ur money thru Ads & Sponsors..
