Mauli was not there and that cast a gloom on the show. She may not have been the greatest singer but her presence simply lighted up the atmosphere.
Gurus have started playing dirty politics. All , in particular Bappi Lahiri seem to have ganged up against Aneek. I have never heard Bappi even say an word of praise or encouragement to Aneek considering what a terrific singer he is at this young age.Others have given him standing ovations again and again but Bappi hasn't ever said a word. In fact he had given him 7 for Sathiya which was terrific and 8 for Rabba Rabba which was one of Aneek's best. So, when he cooly handed him an 8, I understood Beware Aneek fans, know this Bappi very well and his design He will try to vote Aneek out by purposely giving low scores to some one who can only be termed a musical prodigy. Well, sick of him and more sick of his breaking out in a half song here and then totally out of context.
Shekhar gave him a low score of 8 but only after mentioning that his rendition would be considered a final 'take' for an album so perfect it was. So, my question is what then justifies his low score ? , aren't his opinion and score contradictory? I am very perplexed.
The lowest points in the show were when Musarat were being shown in av's and when he came to sing another (as usual) nfak and (as usual ) must have sung great.
I think the show's ratings can be totally killed at this stage by either voting Aneek out or voting others like Raja out next week in favor of Musarat which appears to be a very likely possibility since Raja was unnecessarily taken to task for just one bad performance. I believe he was suffering from a throat infection yesterday. I noticed some scratchiness in his voice and nobody did even mention it including his own mentors.
