the problem is that mauli has a completely new sining style and we or SOME people cannot accept that .......take sumedha for example she sounds and sings like shreya goshal and poonam sings like kavita krishnamurti
and mauli is a new thing she bought a new style and the people on this forum cannot accept that for some odd odd reason
i mean what does the industry need
some new talent , a new voice what is sa re ga me pa for a search for a new voice
put it into show terms and you will see mauli should be the winner beacuse of the new style i mean if you can scrreeram and sing in sur

Yes she has a "unique" singing style but not at the cost of changing the original feel of the song. Every song has a certain style.In Mauli's voice maiiyya maiyya sounded extremely good, but then she tried to give that maiyya touch to every song, happy sad, fast slow whatever, then she lost it. What she was trying to do was simply get the western flavor to each and every song and lace it up with a ela arun.."hai" at the end... have your heard her taal se taal mila, mast, swades song, then you would realise where she is lacking. She shrieked on high notes and went totally flat on low notes, her voice cracked, thats not what having a total control on sur is....

she has a powerful voice but she should simply stick to the mood and feel of the song and not give her maiiya touch-period...its not a remix album...

She is improving but she needs to sing in it's original way, not add her maiyaa touch all the time

style may be i agree (she resembles lochan from buniyaad), but voice quality not.

The day she will try to sing like Poonam, she will faint...

why did u give a damn care about the points ??

V & S are always against her and they always give her under 10 points ,it's obvious that they like type of female singers like anushka and sunidhi , they didnt like the type of sumi , shreya and other soft voices !!!
