First off, I doubt anyone here is jealous of her. My username shows me as new here, but I've been invisible on I-F for a long long time. I don't think that it's the fact that people are jealous (at least in this case).
Second off, no one is (or at least no one should be) criticizing her character, or her as a person. But her as a singer, well this is a singing competition, and people are allowed to praise/criticize her as a singer.
Thirdly, I don't think Mauli has been improving. Technically, Mayya Mayya was her best performance and that was her FIRST performance. So she's really going downhill. Now, I do agree that after she completely went down she is now slowly creeping back up. But this is a SINGING competition. And now, this close to the finals, we don't need/want singers that are improving, but rather those who are already good, and those who can make a career in music right away.
And the BIGGEST problem with Mauli is that because of her (or I think rather because of people that are voting for her) good singers are getting eliminated. Those who are already good and those who have already improved. Now is that fair? Don't you think that singers like Junaid and Harpreet deserve her spot more than her?
My comments are purely based on her singing and the competition. Although there are many things that are irksome about Mauli and her behavior, I consider irrelevant while discussing why she doesn't belong in the competition right now.
My advice to her would be to actually not give up, but rather spend a few more years actually learning/"improving" as you call it, and then come and try her luck at playback.
Just my personal opinion. I don't want to start World War III.
