The programme is titled on saptak 'SA RE GA MA PA' which suggests the only and the most required element of the show is the sur/ tal/ laya and the participant's ability to adapt their individuality and give creative inputs to in a compositon without changing it. In this show participants must sing (in tune) to be in the contest. This show does count for x-factor but in singing not in participant's appearance or personality. because in play back singing once you go behind the mike it's your voice and singing people gonna hear not your Modelish figure. But they are shows like x-factor and Indian idol that focus on beauty, personality, smiles, dancing steps and blah blah blah. And I believe Mauli is better suited there as she does seem to have everything apart from the understanding of sur/tal/laya.

so u actually think people don't vote based on an x-factor? this is the reality...people with an x-factor (like mauli) are more appealing to vote for

If it is based on saturday's performance,than it has to be MUSARRAT OR AMANAT.Musarrat,i don't know what he was trying to sing.Gaane ki taang tod di 🤢 .Amanat,compared to the origenal song sung by Sonu,was nowhere near.That shows his limitations.He should stick to the semi-classical songs.

i think amanat is the best out of the lot!!!^

X-factor only lasts until the competetion, after u get eliminated its singin time...so u have to be able to sing different kinds of songs not just one type n sing them fabulously...and during those times having x-factor(like mauli) won't help

U dont need an X factor to be a good singer.. Look at Nihira.. what x-factor does she have..
