u're reading funny in different context from what the author is suggesting... she meant cute/funny... big difference...nehow it helps him sing better...and makes him look cute....so as long as he's in the game... let him do whatever he can to win it 😛

hahaha..this reminded me of a performance in gr 3...when all the lil kids line up at the stage and swing their arms..call it a dance move or movement out of sheer shyness 😛
