Where is the mentometer ?

Friends, in the SRGMP challenge we had the mentometer system in which the mentors rated the participants in scale from 1-10. I used to like that because i feel that since they had to rate them , it forced the mentors to comment more seriously about the singing more than anything else.

What do you feel ?

the manufacturers of Mento's stopped sponsoring SRGMP, so they took the mentormeter with them 😉

I was also wondering where the mentometer's gone? I wish they could bring it back. I remember initially the score was 1-4, then they changed it to 1-10.

Maybe they've done away with it to prevents fights (or walkouts 😉 )

bringing the mentometer back would be a good idea, the mentors will have to be impartial then coz they would need to explain/defend their ranking

I am happy they got rid of the mentometer. It is unfair for the contestants to be judged by the mentors of others, who probably want their contestants to do better. Remeber when Debojit sang on the Qawali day, AS and HR gave him a 6 and 7 even though he sang so well. Also, because of the meter, most of the judges didn't give ANY comments or constructive criticism.

The mentometer should be back - it would guide the public. I really don't know who sang the best or who sang the worst on the day - comments seemed more or less similar for most of them.

Maybe the mentometer wasn't introduced because HR wasn't present last week. Or maybe because there are so many contestants (14) that it would take too much time to grade everyone. Hopefully next week, or after a couple of contestants are eliminated, they may bring back mentometer.
