I am sure himesh is telling his life story thru his movie and mauli has nothing to do with this movie. He never acknowledged that he is guju. Infact in the radio interview he told the host that he is not comfortable with gujarati language if I recall it right when he had show in US.

I think he sings some what similar to mauli in his own way so may be that is why he likes her. a modern way i guess.

I think HR likes to defend singers who aren't versatile or whom the judges and other mentors don't find versatile.

When someone is cute and pretty most man have a weakness which cannot be explained. And if they are gifted with a sweet voice, they tend to fall in love and all logic goes out of the window. Similarly with women and a cute lovable guy it is the same. The Public too want to see cute faces and nice figures, to make up for and deficiencies in talent; this is marketability. Mauli is marketable.

may be HR will offer sequel to Apka Suroor to her 😳 😳 😳

It baffles me how one day HR can stretch his lungs for one of his student's 'roti', and some other day forget that his other students also need a piece of that 'roti'...wonder how he can take sides in favor of a 'popular' singer when his own student has sung better! So he is concerned about 'roti' for only one of his contestant?

Himesh ji considers every woman as his siter or mother.I think he considers Mauly as his sister.She is going to send raakhee to his bhayia raja 😛
