Himesh, Mauli and C07 champion material

To me a champion is someone who can carry oneself in every situation...agreed a singer may be better in one genre than in another, but has to do at least a passable job in not so familiar genres.

We listened to Sanchita excel in item/Sunidhi nos but also attempt KANk welll...Sameer was labelled a tapori singer but made us cry with tujhse naaraz...even those kids proved their versatility.

So what is Mauli's problem.

Mauli is not a champion material Biswita. A singer cannot be judged with one performance. Nihira and Himani were true champs because they were versatile. They performed at the same level everytime, with some ups and downs but mostly consistently..

So far, I have seen Sikandar as that true consistent performer. Mussarat being another one but I have to hear him singing a low pitch number, non-Rahat-Fateh-Ali-Khan style (only if HR lets him do that😆).

well, I like her and all, but, I thought that she could be an all rounder like most of the SRGMP winners. But throughout the times she's sung...what can I say? 😕 😕

One day good performance she is treated as the crown,one day bad performance she is trampled on the ground. Good singer bad singer average singer , exceptional singer- why such extreme reactions?This time the choice of song was wrong, she could not carry it well.Tomorrow the tables might turn again and she may pick a right song and perform well also.

The fact that she is in the contest and has been praised by many before in other shows, do show that she is better than us ordinary mortals. why pass a judgement so soon...why make her a superstar one day and the next day treat her like a flop star?

and I am very cognizant of that fact which you state above and that is why I am very reluctant to declare anybody a superstar at this time including Mussarat who probably is the only one who has consistently received lofty reactions because I haven;t heard him sing the songs of different genre.

I don't think she is being trampled. Her superstardom has been put under scanner because of her 2 not-so-superstar performances. Can she bounce back? Will she bounce back? Sure... She has the capability and maturity, I think. She has to prove that she can sing beyond Maiyya Maiyya. In my mind, I think she is very original. She imparts her own style to the song while most of the singers imitate. From that perspective she is great.

Atrocious is an overkill reaction.....I would say that she has given 2 performances that didn't match the hype of the first one..😃

Aphrodite is taking an extreme view.Let us be liitle balanced and wait.Her other 3 performances were not that bad.If she was that bad how come Bappida selected her and brought her all the way frm US.Is he music deaf?He is a pundit and with so many years of music expertise saw something in her.If she still doesnt buck up and if her mentor fails to put her in the right track she will go.Dont u think its mentors responsibility also to correct them and guide them.What are these mentors doing here.Earlier there were only judges and we cld blame the cotestants.

now that people hate her more, i love her singing more. i hope she does better next time and makes everyone shut. i think shes gonna go long way. n she will go back up n will STAY UP THERE!!!
