The concert was in Hult Performing Art Center in Eugene, Oregon, a closed auditorium. Me and the host family were last but one seat in that big auditorium. So, we were not close to the speakers. I had that experience twice on Indian concert too. We went to Kumar Sanu program and Karunya program in Portland, Oregon and did buy VIP seats. I had the same miserable experience. But Western music in general is very noisy IMO. I am here for 38 years but still not gotten used to it. I grew up with old time soothing music. Hence, the current music trend is not appealing to me.
true. but sometimes the same western music can sound very appealing when you hear it from a distance. anything played very loud gets very tiring for the ears. still, it'll always be hard to like heavy metal unless someone's really into that stuff.
i have a bunch of western music, most of which is not very noisy. lot of it non-commercial. never fails to impress people for the beat, rhythm, cleanliness, musicality. even die-hard anti-western types fall for it. much nicer than current hindi film music i think.
ok maybe i am a bit weird here. not too many folks who'd travel far to old shops to buy vinyl albums these days just because he finds them warmer and less harsh-sounding than CDs😆 anyway, dont know why i am saying this😕😆
