I totally agree with Asha ji's decision. When I first read the report about Sarika's elimination (before I had actually watched the show), I thought some real travesty had taken place. However, after I watched the show, my personal opinion is that it was not that far-fetched for Sarika to get eliminated, esp. after Jyoti's second performance. Reecha, I felt should have got the green card on the first day itself. Sarika's performance yesterday was not that good. I noticed some nuances missing compared to the original Sunidhi rendition. Vishal-Shekhar said they really liked it. However, even they pointed out that her sur was thoda 'hila dula' when she tried to emulate Sunidhi's 'hanste hue' parts. Now, it is possible that if Asha ji had spent a few minutes with Sarika instead of with Jyoti, she would not have got eliminated.

If the judgement was based on the ORIGINAL songs, Jyoti should have been eliminated.

Asha tai left before announcing the results. Why? Was she afraid of an outburst from VS?

completely agree wid u👏....I don't think Asha Tai, Lataji or NE of d oder gr8 singers 2day wuld take a wrong decision against gud music...dey can't be called legends 4 nuthing...

On friday - Sarika's performance was better than Jyoti's.

On saturday, Jyoti's first performance was at par with Sarika's performance of that same day. The second performance of Jyoti after the talk with Asha tai was definitely better than the first one. In that sense, Jyoti performed better.

But...there is a big but..... Asha tai was to judge Jyoti on her first performance,. So if that was done, then both were same. since sarika was better the day before, ethically, logically , technically speaking, Sarika should have got the go ahead to Round 2 instead of jyoti.

I personally did not much like sarika's voice.

Asha tai should have atleast given reasons for her actions.

I agree with Asha ji's decesion..

I was not at all impressed by Sarika.. she is average.. don't know why she has been so hyped by mentors

Poor sarika, i wonder how she must feel. She sang better than Jyoti and she deserves to be at the second round. This was really unfair to Sarika. I feel really bad for her.

I personally think that Jyoti should have been out, because Sarika sang better than her, I don't know why Ashaji picked Jyoti.

I watched yesterday's episode on the internet, and I have just watched the repeat telecast of the show on TV.

Now I completely agree with Asha ji's decision. Sarika should have been out yesterday. This is one of the best song that Sunidhi has ever sang. Although she sang it witha very husky voice but it was very softly sung with very smooth transition of notes. Whereas Sarika was just counting beats and not a single transition were smooth. On top of that she has used a nasal husky tone which was not very ssothing to the ears.

Sarika was not good. But Jyoti wasn't good either. She faltered on both the days.
