Its about getting the best singer. Although Jyoti faltered on both days, but we have seen the difference in her singing once she was corrected by Asha ji. Now, you tell me whose fault was it that Jyoti did not sing well. Jyoti's or her mentors. She has a lot of potential as a singer and I don't see Sarika's singing going anywhere. More over I never liked her nasal voice and her presentation.

Exactly my thoughts Jaddoo bhai.

I actually agree with Asha's decision but understand the mentors'
perspective as well. I don't think Sarika did a good job today at all on that
lovely song. She missed the mood and some notes.

HR was right when he said that the juding standard should be clear - -
decision on that day's performance or decision on the singer (remember
C2005 contraversy between Abhijeet Ghosal and Aishwarya)

On saturday, Jyoti's first performance was at par with Sarika's performance of that same day. The second performance of Jyoti after the talk with Asha tai was definitely better than the first one. In that sense, Jyoti performed better.

But...there is a big but..... Asha tai was to judge Jyoti on her first performance,. So if that was done, then both were same. since sarika was better the day before, ethically, logically , technically speaking, Sarika should have got the go ahead to Round 2 instead of jyoti.

I personally did not much like sarika's voice.

Asha tai should have atleast given reasons for her actions.

I have now see both the day's performances. They announced the results of the Sarika's emlimination after they bid Ashaji goodbye. Does that not sound a little strange?? So Ashaji was not there to defend her judgement. All the mentors disagreed with the decision. However, I found Sarika not too impressive this time round. I am sure Ashaji judged all 3 contestents on their performance only and Jyoti was not judged after she sang again upon Ashaji's comments. I agree with Appada that Ashaji is a very knowledgeable singer and her decision would be the right decision.

Cheers.😛

yup...agreed here too. Jyothi's voice quality and potential give her the edge in my opinion (for what it's worth!)
