I think HR may have a good heart and maybe a good person, but sometimes 😆 he gets so overly hyper and it seems kind of arrogant.

Kind of upset as an IR fan, that he has to re-use his Tamil tunes in Cheeni Kum. I don't understand why he always composes his tried and tested tunes in his Hindi composition instead of composing something fresh. Not sure if it's the language barrier. For a Music Director, who redefined Music in Tamil Cinema, he could do much much better with his compositions in Hindi movies.

But then all music composers have done it, many of Pancham's hindi songs are actually remake of his Bengali songs. I don't mind it. Probably reason is that IR saab is not doing a lot of Hindi movies, may be he wants time tested , best tracks to come across. We can't deny he is a musical genius.

Agreed. IR's tunes reach a wider audience when he repeats himself in Hindi movies. One thing Bollywood misses is his re-recording for movies. I don't think there's anyone in India who can dare to touch him in this regard.

There's no doubt about the fact that he's a musical genius.

Well, Himesh is doing his job - raising TRPs.😆 Why else will Zee pay him 2 crores? He needs to be hysterical to earn his own roti, kapda aur makan.

Let's look at the same situation a little differently. Why did Vishal make a comment on Mussarat's song choice? Was there any stipulation that contestants had to sing Golden Era songs? Was there such a round? The answer: NO. Otherwise Mussarat would have been disqualified for not following instructions!

Just because Asha is the judge, it does not mean that all contesants sing Golden Era greats when that is not their strongest point.

It was a smart strategy on Vishal's part to attempt to eliminate Himesh's best contender by asking him to sing a song where he was not nearly as strong.

Hit It's Junaid did not do well in a Golden Era number, but when he sang something in his own genre in the second round, he was BETTER. Had he tried to "please" Asha again, then he would have been eliminated.

In spite of his arrogance, Himesh clearly knows the strengths and weaknesses of the contestants in his gharana. He knows that he has to get his best contenders into the Top 10 at any cost. Then they can risk showing versatility.
