Mohd. Vakil, Parthiv Gohil, Neha Rajpal, Arpita Mukherjee, Rahul Saxena, Ronkini Gupta, Hrishikesh Ranade... they have won many SRGM/SRGMP competitions (Golden Voice Hunt, World Series, Popular Choice, etc.). Some of them won multiple titles. They are still waiting to become stars...

When Nihira Joshi sung in the selection rounds of C2005, she got standing ovation with 2 thumps up from ID. HR asked her to come to studio after 2 days to record a song for him (don't know what happened to that). In the later rounds, the mentors indirectly said that there was no competion for Nihira in C2005. HR said other C2005 contestants competing with Nihira is like 5th graders competing with a 10th grader... In the final rounds she mesmerized the greatest film makers of current era like Subhash Ghai and Sanjay Leela Bhansali...But she still has not sung a single solo for bollywood movie yet (babuji dhire chalana was a rehash).

Debojit won C2005 more than a year back but has not sung a single solo yet.

For every one Sunidhi Chauhan, we have 5 Nihiras and Ronkinis and Debojits who won many titles but have not made big yet. And between them they sung 100s of songs of all different genres in many different competions and won the hearts of many film makers, music directors... and all of us.

Mauli, no doubt, has talent. But to call her star in making based on just one song in one round of one SRGMP contest...oh, well....

thakur you are quoting me wrongly that i wrote that mouli is a star .This is wrong because it was an article in msn and i posted it on the forum.pl it is not me who says so.

btw i watched mauli's performance which she had done thru her band sargam..they were reeli good too 👏 👏

more than mauli's voice which was no doubt good, she was like an entire package ,good looks, good personality,hip clothes to carry off the number.

she is a perfect combination of talent and beuaty. her performance was amazing and cant wait to hear her song in the next episode.

Amukta when anyone post anything, and when that is quoted, it is that members name that gets quoted. You posted the article so because of the script when I quoted the article it was your name that got quoted. I know its not you who is saying this or that its your views. So calm down.😆😆

but i think mauli's singing style,genre is different....it will suit to certain pahaadi type folksongs n some arabian type numbers...........it will not suit the sweet,melodious songs...........i heard her other songs on youtube.that lata mangeshkar's song'lag jaa gale'..........mauli's voice sounds like of reshma in that song...............its too early to say that a star is born............she is fine but according to me not a very good singer...................no offence.......its my opinion........may be in future she may prove me wrong if she sings soft numbers nicely.......
