i think the producers need more drama and TRPs.

only if legends like manna dey / ravi can provide drama along with good musical teachings to their candidates, then they would be considered.
We all speak about how music should be above all, but if TRPs wasn't what the show was about (for majority viewers, not listeners😉 ) , it would have been following the format it followed in the early years :)

Asha Bhosle proved to be a great judge. It would have been 100% perfect had she given the reason for Jyoti's selection over Sarika's.

Rajesh Roshan and Khayyam saab value wise added nothing in the next round. Rajesh saab atleast had one or two tips but Khayyam saab had nothing to add.Judgement wise, performance was not up to the marks. With the amount of experience they have in this frield they could have contributed a lot in helping the participants.

We need judges who are actually musically critical and give good advice too, and take sound judgement decisions.

I would like to see Manna dey and Lata ji as the judges.

I would also like to see AR Rahman as a judge but I don't think he will be too productive. He is too timid and camera shy.

If they wanna bring some old school MD or musician then they should at least have an "open mind" to today's music and not have some sort of a "superiority complex".

Khayyam was always sitting there like he was out of place probably thinking "40 years ago things were all peachy". He looked like he'd rather be somewhere else and never had anything constructive to say to the contestants except throw some urdu adjectives.

precisely! that's how asha stands apart. even newcomers would make great judges since all that's new is not always trash. I think Vishal can make a great judge for a similar talent show in spite of being young :)

I feel there should be a jury of three or more judges. In that case individual eccentricities could be minimized.
