why? dont we select people after just one interview? one set of entrance exams? dont the mentors pick candidates from auditions after listening to only a few lines? oh, sometimes we can see things right from the first moments.😉

The show has just started, lets keep watching to see who REALLY is the best.

haan yaar. we'll definitely see who really is the best. best at surviving through all the drama and canned singing that is.😛

Then we can decide by the time there are 5 or so contestants left.

oh, i prefer to have the full view, when all the candidates are there. why limit oneself to only the few that arbitrarily remain at the end?😊

😃

I disagree... Chartbuster....we select people after just one interview...because we feel the person has potential. We don't know how they really will do in their job. In Mauli's case, she sang once well, but is there any guarentee that she will continue to sing well? What if she becomes another Sanjaya? A great performer but not much of vocal talent? We won't know this, unless we sneaked into a time machine and view the answer. Because of this, all we can do is predict. One moment...gives you a glimpse not the whole picture of reality.

That's my opinion, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. So I respect yours. 😊

job is a life-long thing. in that case, should we hold off making judgments on a job till the entire career is over?😛

fwiw, here too we are making judgments based on the potential we see. none of them is going to become an established front-line star in any case.😉

and what if the winner of the competition develops a bad throat? also, any assurances we wouldnt actually end up picking another qazi or watever that guy's name was? lots of things that can go wrong between now and eternity if we want to get down to it😉

and that's what we are implcitly doing most of the time😊 predicting and making assumptions

One moment...gives you a glimpse not the whole picture of reality.

sometimes one shld go with one's instincts. provided one's instincts are good😉

That's my opinion, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. So I respect yours. 😊

oh, and this was my opinion, Karishma06.😊

no offense, but u seem to be suggesting later on that it's too early to judge someone for their singing. now, isnt it too early too to be forming impressions regarding other aspects based on some conversations you might have had?😉

No offense, but I feel that is none of your buissness, Mr. Chartbuster. And about previous conversation, I judge based on person, not when it comes to talent. That's my perogative, nobody elses.

lol. looks like it's too early to comment on someone's talent, but it's not too early to judge the person based on some random conversations. never mind that the performance impressed most of the audience, and never mind we cant comment on the conversation since we werent there😆

oh, and it's one's prerogative to question something if it doesnt add up. now whether those assessments are early or late is also one's own business😊

I don't mean to be rude, but can you please leave me alone. What I think is my opinion, i don't feel anyone has any right to keep pestering others when it comes their thoughts. Ever since I commented in this thread, you keep trying to get on my case. I didn't like Mauli. My opinion, my thoughts, please stop trying to argue with me. 😃

O and by the way, I am sorry you feel that way but I disagree 😉

Thanks! Karishma

lol. arent we humoring ourself here and getting a bit too personal? if responding to your post is your idea of someone "not leaving you alone" (imo a very rude remark in itself), then perhaps you shouldnt be posting here. coz that's what one does in a forum- respond/ discuss/ disagree, with proper decorum. btw, werent you implicitly responding to the topic starter's post yourself? what's good for Karishma06 aint good for others?😉😆

All thanks should go to her parents esp her mother for having instilled a child who not only is talented but also has humility.

MAULI accepted her compliments with grace.
