So the long awaited time has finally arrived.. 😛 Yes, the C2007 has just begun and this time its Vishwayudh.. So, now let me introduce you to the mentors, hosts and the contestants of this Challenge..
Update of the First Episode:
The just show a Recap of Challenge 2005 - The auditions, the mentors and the final episode..
Then the show starts and the world is introduced to the 2007- Its from Mahayudh of Vishwayudh.. They show a glimse of auditions at various places..
The Stage:
The stage is just looking like a war front - with fire, and a globe revolving at the centre of the stage.. Each Gharana's mentor is allocated a place and the gharanas this time are:
- Yalgaar Rock Josh
- Hit Squad(Hit IT)
Introduction of the Gharana Mentors:
Ismail Darbar - Yalgaar
The first on stage is Ismail Darbar and he enters into stage on elephant with kisna song background.. He enters the stage and sings Kisna song with 4 men dancing with swords.. He says "Doston, 2005 was not the end of my winning the Challenge.. This time its big.. Its all through out the world.. Its now vishwayudh as contestants from all over the world are participating.. Its now time for him to introduce his friend - Himeshji.. He says the next mentor is one with whom he has always had 36 ka aankhda and he has 36 hit songs.. Yes ofcourse the line:
Yalgaar Ho
Himesh Reshammiya - Rock Gharana:
He enters in car.. He sings Jab aaye samne nazron mein tum.. He also says he has always thought Ismailji as his guru and everytime he has to sit against him.. And also touches the feet of ID to get blessings.. This time ID also mentions that he has started following Himesh as his guru.. And the line as usual is:
Jai Matadi, Lets Rock
The Host:
Its now time to introduce the host.. As the audience are already aware of Himeshji and Ismailji, they introduce to us, the new Host - Adithya Narayan.. He is praised by many singers and atlast by his father saying he will achieve more than his father.. The host enters and he sings papa kehte hain bada naam karega.. Adithya now takes the blessings of Himeshji and Ismailji starts hosting the show.. Hmm, his voice is not that impressive.. Well, time has everything to say..
Bappida - Josh:
Now, Adithya introduces the new mentor - Bappida and he enters the stage and sings yaar bina chain kahaan re.. He says he is excited.. And the line for him is -
Dil mein hain josh, udayenge hosh
Vishal Sekhar - Hit Squad:
Adithya introudces them as two bluffmasters jo aaj ke generation ki dhadkan hain.. They sing dus bahane karke le gaye dil.. Their tagline being:
Hit IT, Super Hit
Now for the big one - The Contestants:
The contestants have been chosen by the gharana mentors themselves.. The mentors were given each one zone in India and few places outside India to choose the contestants.. Each mentor has chosen 4 contestants from India and 2 outside India Now, lets see who gets whom.. Today we shall see only those contestants from India, others will be introduced only in tomorrow's episode..
Yalgaar Gharana Contestants:
The zones given are - UP, MP, rajasthan and Middle East
- Rimi Dhar - She sings Chaand Nighalgaye Poonam Yadav sings Babuji zara dheere chalo Jyothi Mishra sings mere peekon pawan
- Desh Gaurav Singh sings nain lad jaive
Rock Gharana Contestants:
The zones given are - Bengal, Assam and London
- Roy Chakrobarthy sings Bheegi Bheegi Amrita Chatterjee sings Piya Bole Nirupma Dey sings Daiyaa re Daiyaa
- Shreshta Banerjee sings Dola re Dola
Josh Gharana Contestants:
The zones given are - Punjab, Delhi and America
- Richaa Tripaathi sings Sajnave Soniyave mahiyave --Kumar sings tere bin saath soniye Koyna Chatterjee sings Akhiyaan na maar mere yaar
- Harpreet deol sings Ramta Jogi
Hit squad Gharana Contestants:
The zones given are - Maharashtra, Gujarat and Africa
- Apurva sings Mumbai Nagariya Saaberi Bhattacharya meghna Verma sings O munghda
- Sarika Singh sings Dhol Baje
My Personal Comments:
Positive points: Good to have given each mentor a region so you dont get problem in later stages..
Negative Points: Host is fine, but voice is not impressive, missing Shaan too much.. The quality of singers this time has deteriorated.. Hope these singers improve themselves in time to come, or else the quality of srgmp will be totally lost.. Singers have not impressed me and if hv to choose one from each gharana then it would be for Gaurav of Yalgaar, Saaberi of hit squad, Nirupma Dey of Rock gharana and Koyna, Harpreet of Josh gharana
