Well, after about 48 years since Usha Khanna composed music for Dil Deke Dekho in 1959, we are going to see another woman music composer!! Shibani Kashyap, who sang for few movie earlier (Mr. Ya Miss, Zinda) is co-composing music for movies like 1971, Dubai Returns... So after nearly a half century, we have a lady now who daring to be different....
Shall we now say that we are going to have some 'feminine touch' to film music...😊 😊

Shibani Kashyap finally gets her due credit

A little birdie tells us that Shibani Kashyap is on Cloud Nine these days. And she has all the reasons in the world to be as well. It is no mean achievement and honour for any artiste getting nominated for the Best Upcoming Music Director in the forthcoming Stardust Awards scheduled for February 18.
Shibani, who has always maintained a low profile, could not escape the media glare with the brilliant music she delivered recently. Her sensationalizing song Zinda Hoon Main from the movie Zinda had the whole country dancing to her tunes. And now, she has been nominated for the same song along with eminent music maestros of the day like Atif Aslam and Mithun.
Shibani is also often remembered for her song Sajna Aa Bhi Ja from the movie Waisa Bhi Hota Hai 2, and now she is all geared up for the forthcoming movies like Amrit Sagar's 1971 and Aditya Bhattacharya's Dubai Returns.
Shibani may or may not win the award, but she has surely won all our hearts! Any doubts? -

Shibani Kashyap to perform live on INS VikranthYet another feather in Shibani Kashyap's much-adorned hat! This time the talented singer is all set to perform live INS Vikranth for the music launch of Amrit Sagar's forthcoming film 1971!
Shibani, who has also sung couple of songs, including the title track, has composed the music for 1971. The movie is based on a group of six soldiers who try to flee from a Pakistani camp and return to their homeland and stars actors like Manoj Bajpai, Ravi Kishan, Chitaranjan Giri, Kumud Mishro and Manav Kaul. After a roller coaster ride with teen music director Akash Sagar, Shibani has finally arrived and is quite upbeat about performing on a number 'Sehlenge Hum ' from the film's album.
But what sets this music launch apart from the others is its exotic location. The launch is scheduled to take place on the INS Vikranth. This location has been chosen to link it with the movie's theme, as this ship had been used in the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
Shibani, who was recently nominated the best upcoming music director in the Stardust Awards this year, is now looking forward to making some good quality music and working with the best in the industry. Another movie, which she has worked for is Aditya Bhattacharya's Dubai Returns.
