Just watched last weeks sa re ga ...aired today in USA.
I felt Debojeet was much better then Rajeev.
& Hemani was better then Twinkle (infact i'm a Twinkle fan)

I felt that too. Debojit sang so much better than Rajeev.. There's too much hype around rajeev. I couldn't decide between himani and twinkle.

Really feeing sorry for Debu. He really sang far far better than Debu. I don't understand , How can Kumar Sanu be a judge of such a high profile show. There is so much hype created around some of the contestants for reasons other than singing. Each episode they keep on saying Rajeev is from a small place , has a Dhaba, Sunanda is from UK, Sharib/Hemachandra is from a musical family, Joyeeta bahut dur se aayee hai etc etc (BTW, Just happened to see that Debojeet is from Silchar. It's a very small place in one of the most remote state of India, Assam. But, I have never seen Ismail Darbar mentioning that in the show). These things really shouldn't matter , what should matter is performance on stage and one's ability. (Not that I am saying these guys are bad singers, but I really want the reality element out of the show and save it for programs like FG). I just hope that Zee and Gajendra Singh can rope in some cometant judges. Each judgement can make or break someone's carrear and I think Zee should be more careful in selecting the judges. They should bring back Shiv/Hari immediately and keep them for the rest of the show.

In fact, now I think I am missing the old sa re ga ma pa.

Sangeetpremi, just couldnt agree with u any further. at least hariji/shivji were aware of their job. although kudos to daler for listenign so carefully (though i do sometimes doubt him, since he seems so sleepy half the time) he has a very wierd way of judging. he should judge one based on totality. hariji/shivji were very encouraging, polite, yet firm in their decision-making. u could tell that they were in it together. u r so right about wanting them back.

deboo sang better....and himani and twinkle both were good....but i didnt like the way the mentors...contradicted the judges....it was just an insult to Khayyam ji.....Kumar sanu is ok ...but i think Khayyam ji is a great musician.....Khayyam ji said...the final say is judges'.....
it was kind of bad when...Aadesh....even though he was saying aap mahaan ho.....he was saying public voting hai.....
anyways.....that was my opinion....
i have to watch this episode again to clarify myself....

One of the thing that has puzzled me many times in the past and certainly for the episode aired in the U.S today where Twinkle and Rajeev got green cards, is the choice of songs! With such a wealth of songs available for both kishore Kumar and Asha Bhonsle,the contestants and their mentors chose songs that were either dull or obscure. Given that, I believe that Debojit and Himani should have been the winners.Rajeev has a husky unimpressive voice and Twinkle of course is more show than substance!

twinkle gave a better expression today, thats why she won, but i believe himani will surely reach finals and beat twinkle. it was nice to see himani's father enjoying his daughters singing.

adesh did surely insult the judges by questioning the judgement. khayyam was right in getting angry on the fact they only call them and then express doubt over their judgement. shame on adesh/jatin's part. i liked shanu dada's comment on praising parents spoiling their kids. kumar shanu's image went up a notch for me after today's episode, he came across as very confident.

i like rajeev's voice. i like him as a persson too. i hope debojit enters final too.

Being in USA, I also saw the episode today and I must say I am very very 😡 😡 😡 angry 😡 😡 😡at the judges' decisions. I have highest respect for Khayyam-ji for his outstanding scores for Umrao Jaan and Kabhie Kabhie but I just didn't understand his rationale behind selecting Rajeev over Debu and Twinkle over Himani.

Debu sung sooo.. well and he hardly ever was out of sur. His rendition was very clean and touchy and something that comes from a trained singer. Rajeev was besura at times, appreared raw, and lack of any training in music was very evident in his rendition. I think they are taking this whole "rooh se gaya"thing to the other extreme. You cannot have an untrained and at times besura voice and get away just because you sounded like you sung from "rooh". If Jasraj-ji and Daler were the judges today, they would have knocked Rajeev out. SRGMP need to set some guidelines for judges, so that all contestants are judged based on same criteria.

On Himani vs. Twinkle, let me tell you that I feel Twinkle is much more versatile singer and I like her more than Himani. But Himani was so better today. Twinkle was very flat in antara and completely lacked the feel and the energy of the song. She is capable of doing much much better but she just was not good today and not even at 50% level of the performance she gave in last round. On the other hand, Himani was as good as she was in her last 2 rounds and sang with lot of feel and enegy. Her voice quality and sur was perfect. So I understand why both Adesh and Jatin were so much annoyed. The decision sounded completely irrational and they just could not take it. I am sure even ID felt that Himani was better and that's why he kept quite. Yes, the mentors should respect the judge's decision but this was really too much for them to take.

Now suddenly Daler appear to be much better judge to me... .....

I agree as well... Debojeet was definitely better than Rajeev. The reasoning given by Sanu that Kishore had more "lachak" was all crud IMHO. Lets not forget that most of these guys are singing on this big a stage for the first round. And as some of the mentors said earlier, its not fair to compare these kids to the stalwarts like Kishore, Rafi.
I would definitely love to hear someone sing a Talat song but *sigh*, there's no market in these days for voices of that kind...

This is a disadvantage ID has suffered due to what I feel is his simplicity. He doesn't play psychological games like AS and JL. Even HR keeps on mentioning Aishwarya to get some sympathy. ID never makes any excuses but the impression people get of him is that he's rude and arrogant. I dont and I feel that he just says what he feels. Even with Vinita, he said he wanted to slap her 'cause he knows she can sing a lot better. I feel it comes from him heart and he sincerely wants to help all newcomers.
