I didn't see this episode but Ive heard that Sanchari was too good at this song. I actually heard this Krishna Cottage song only after I was told abt Sanchari. Poor creature.. she deserved to be in the contest.

Sanchari She has been my favorite.
I was really sad for her when I heard she was out, But that night I think
Himesh took the girl who sung better that night.
But the time when Jatin did not give her thumbs up I think that was very
unfair to tell her then she was to young yet. Then why had she been
there. She did not grow young during the show. Where as all the other 3
of them said she did very good.
Well she is young, she will get a lot of chances.
If I ever made a song and was going to record it. It will be in voice.

i think twinkle will get the green card if she does not goofs up big time.

Among boys- i think it is tough- but going by the earlier performances- debojit should be in- the other two can be very inconsistent.

But i like rajiv's voice and want him to be in.

How is it competing with so many talented singers?

This is truly proving to be the biggest mahayudh for me, besides the pressure multiplies as we have to perform in front of top music directors of Indian cine industry like Adesh Srivastava, Himesh Reshamiya and Ismail Darbar.

What is the toughest part of the competition?

The toughest part is the critical appraisal of the singers by the five music directors and the judges that we have to undergo. But this provides us the strength to improve in the next phase of the contest.

Do you feel that such reality shows should be encouraged?

Definitely, as they help to provide a platform to, hitherto, unknown singers to showcase their talent.

Is it true that you are already working on a Jazz album?

I have teamed up with with the noted Jazz pianist and fusion maestro Louis Banks to lend my voice to his forthcoming fusion albums. This is a break that I am really looking forward to. In fact I am also assisting Louis in his debut venture as music director for an untitled film.

This is giving me an opportunity to work with celebrated singers like Asha Bhonsle, Alka Yagnik, Sonu Nigam and Shanker Mahadevan. We have recorded some scores already and I am sure people will love the freshness in the music.

Mulund sings along to Sa Re Ga Ma Pa

On Oct 1, Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa shot a Dandiya Special episode at Nirmal Lifestyle. The mall, which had advertised the shooting of the episode in advance, saw a huge response from residents.

Approximately 3,000 people turned up at the venue with placards and flags to egg on their favourite participant. Compere Shaan and the four team heads of the show, Aadesh Srivastav, Jatin-Lalit, Himesh Reshammiya and Ismail Darbar were also present.

Hero Honda Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 is a reality show with four teams or gharanas pitted against each other. However, the Dandiya Special show will be an add-on episode and not a part of the competition. The shooting began at 7 pm with the 16 participants taking to the floor amongst loud cheering. After the shoot, which ended at 10 pm, metro caught up with a few team heads and participants.

Says Aadesh Srivastav, head of Jai Ho Gharana, "This was an exciting shoot as this is the first time the show is being held outside the studio.

A singer needs to know how to perform live and I was pleasantly surprised to see the confidence levels of all participants. They were not nervous at all," he says adding, "The competition has become very intense and I am happy that the maximum number of finalists at the show are from my gharana."

Ismail Darbar, head of Yalgar Ho Gharana, says, "All the team heads will say their gharana is the best. All the singers in the competition have great potential. It's just a question of who is the best among the equals. This concept of renowned musicians pitching for their favourite singers is unique. I will be happy to see a member of my gharana win the title. It's not just a victory for them but also for me."

The show will be telecast on Oct 15 at 8 pm on Zee TV.

in the second group of this round, i definitely liked joyeeta better than raktima, she has such a nasal sound. i am sure joyeeta wudn't have crossed the chakrvuyha round to go to finals but she was definitely more worthy of getting the blue card this time. i never really liked raktima. last time also she beat someone and i was surprised as to y. i think she beat vineeta whose tinka tinka was absolutely brilliant.
