When are the results of Round 1 expected..? any ideas??

When will the results for the 1st round be declared and why has the topic been taken off from the current Home Page of India Forums?

even last time they had to give rankings and we had i guess 12 contestants and they took two weeks.now we have 24 contestants so i guess it will take four weeks

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS :

These three messages were posted in the mentors thread to keep the competition on track and as close to the schedule as possible. As I see read it in the mentors thread, no objection has come forward from any of the mentors yet, so I assume they are in agreement with the proposals put forth by the co-ordinators. For the second round then here is the latest .I am going to post all 3 announcements here that was posted in the mentors thread by the co-ordinators so that you all are aware of the latest situation of the contest :

In view of the recent delays in both receiving Judges evaluations and the contestants not turning up or not submitting songs on time, we have decided on a new format for declaration of results and submission of songs, which will possibly help us continue the show on schedule without much delays.

Round 1 songs have been submitted and the results have been declared say today/later. Contestants will be given 7 days to submit their songs for Round 2. Once the contestants submit their songs, they could all start preparing for Round 3 and they are given 15 days (2 weeks) to submit their songs for the Round 3. On the date when all the contestants submit their song for Round 3, we will announce the two contestants who are knocked out in Round 2. We will then send the songs of the remaining contestants to the Judges for evaluation. All contestants can then begin preparing for Round 4. Following the same pattern, on the day when the contestants submit their songs for Round 4, Results of Round 3 will be declared.

This could save on the time given to the Judges for evaluating the songs, as sometimes 5 days is short time for all Judges to download all songs, evaluate them and then send the results. This gives them 2 weeks to declare results and this gives the contestants also the impetus to keep singing at their best during all rounds.

For next round i would ask all the four mentors to start preparing. Then we can have the last date maybe withing 7 days of declaring of the results which I hope to get maybe in 4-5 days time.

1. Appa has passed a message that he is still unable to come online just now. Till he is back, Sur_Sangam (Amit) will take care of his gharana. Amit pl contact the contestants of appa's gharana and start preparing for the next round.

2. The results are expected to be anounced anytime on Monday. possibly monday morning (IST)

3. The last date for the second round is being anounced now as then yu all can get more time to adjust. whenever the results is posted the last date for second round submission is 15th jan. Mentors pl get in touch with yur contestants and inform them too.

So from these three posts - a quick recap :.....

1. The theme for Round 2 is : Romantic/ Sad - slow numbers.

2. The last date for submission of Round 2 songs is 15th January.

3. Results of first round will be declared by monday morning (IST)

4. Sur Sangam gharana participants : Until Apparaohoare returns, Amit ( India- Forums ID : sur_sangam) will be your standby mentor. He will contact you and guide you for second round. Please notify here, if you are unable to contact sur_sangam....

5. Alaap gharana participants : Please have a look at the second round requirements and get in touch with Sahanaji ( punjini). If any of you have difficulty reaching her, please post that here or alternately you can get in touch with me via PM informing the same or your requirements, so that I can contact her/help you guys out.
