Hi guys, hope you all are doing fine. I saw promos of Baabul… and some song came don't remember much its I think Punjabi style.. so i asked my self should I listen to music and judge the song or should I listen the lyrix and voice of the singer.

By the way how a song is (should be) judged??? Officially..(coz here mostly love the song based on the singer, I hope no one needs examples)

I felt song is classified in 3 categories… Music, Lyrix and singer…

Which category holds more importance… ???

A song is hit by people … so how many percent ok indians living in india have excel knowledge in this??

Ok I am not debating on H.R… lekin for simple he is going quite well from last year( may be) does his songs really hold that ingredients (good : Music, Lyrix and singing). Or is it just his fans and time helping him.

I feel some times good music, good song will be unnoticed…

Long back I think hmmm 60's or 70's I don't think there were much rock song..as I read it was introduced my Bappi Lahiri.. Singers like Kishore da , Rafi Saab or Mukesh ji…. (may be some more are there but zubaan par inhi ka naam hai) these legends use to sings mostly soft slow song which were a pleasure to listen..i wont say this rock style is torture.. lekin, cant a good soft slow song survive high in this Rock generaton…

Umrao jaan slow music didn't survived

Jaane-e-man music I don't know box office report but it hink song are not hip hop style… but music is not block buster..

On the other hand ..Don as I checked yesterday still title song in going quite well on the chart list.

Cheers,

Ahmed

I felt song is classified in 3 categories… Music, Lyrix and singer…

Which category holds more importance… ??? To me ... it wud b all three of those factors... 'cuz i'm not into just plain music... and singer... yeah sometimes... and lyrics.... definetly!!!! so ...i guess each and every factor matters to me....for it to b a very good song!

A song is hit by people … so how many percent ok indians living in india have excel knowledge in this?? no idea!

Ok I am not debating on H.R… lekin for simple he is going quite well from last year( may be) does his songs really hold that ingredients (good : Music, Lyrix and singing). Or is it just his fans and time helping him. He came at a point where every1 were listening to same old same old ... but his style of singing... was something new and very catchy! so in his case it's the singer....

I feel some times good music, good song will be unnoticed…yeah but sometimes...not all the times

Long back I think hmmm 60's or 70's I don't think there were much rock song..as I read it was introduced my Bappi Lahiri.. Singers like Kishore da , Rafi Saab or Mukesh ji…. Umrao jaan slow music didn't survived Alka's voice was a little shrilly.... i didn't like her voice... i guess voice/singer does matter😳

Jaane-e-man music I don't know box office report but it hink song are not hip hop style… but music is not block buster.. i didn't listen to all of it's songs... but humko maloom hai ....is a really nice and beautiful song! and in that song... the lyrics the singer the music.... it was really good!

On the other hand ..Don as I checked yesterday still title song in going quite well on the chart list. Shaan!!! 👏

Cheers,

Ahmed

Nice topic Ahmed..... 👏 👏

You came after a long time with a bang on topic 😉

well for me the overall impact of the song has to be good. I dont have a genre like classical, semiclassical, slowpaced, fast Paced rock etc. For me Lyrics, music and singer all contribute to a song.....And hence assessing only one category would be unfair. Hence I prefer to check all the ingredients.

Just like Sonu's album Deewana had better singer and music but I like Shaan's album 'Tanha Dil' more because of the overall impact and especially the lyrics of the song

for me its a combination of the three..

moi's reasons:

Music: should be catchy and get my attention whether its fast or slow

Lyrix: should hold some meaning in my opinion though these days its sad but true that songs without meaning are quite popular.

singer: well in certain cases since it attracts you to the album example: "HR" his name alone sells albums

A song is hit by people … so how many percent ok indians living in india have excel knowledge in this??

so this question for those who live in india only😕so I ll skip it

hmm we talking on the one an only HR😉😆 I say all of the above

I feel some times good music, good song will be unnoticed…
