Why not, to become a close friend, I do not think physical intimacy is the only or available option. There are number of opposite sex relationships, very close, based on trust and committment and far for intimacy, I consider them to be platonic.

When someone says, "you are lying" without knowing the facts

I love animal. but totally against keeping a pet. This is a violation of animal rights.

Difficult to say only one. Rather I follow the principle of a person than the person itself. Not necessary that I appreciate everything in a single person.
