I think you are right ...about 70%. The begging for vote part, totally agree with you.
I wouldn't say the participants did not improve. If we watch their day 1 performance and todays performance we can see the difference especially in Sanchita and Diwakar. Sameer was better when he was mentorless.
Sanchita has improved tremendously under Alkaji's guidance. Diwakar has also shown marked improvement.
The show became a money minting farce agreed, they could have definite done without making the kids beg for votes😡 but the show also gave a platform to so many of the faceless people to come and make a mark.
Till four months back, no one knew of Sameer, or Neha, or Shraddha or Sanchita etc. Today their faces are known all over the world, they have showcased what they can, its now upto our musical industry to decide how they want to utilise this.
Every story has a plus and minus side...I guess reality shows does too.
Completely agree. Besides the money minting part and drama creatingwhich Gajji is very apt in, the show has good value.
In US reality show, the public is given a toll free no. to call and for limited time only. Here they minted money almost to the end of grand finale.
As far as the final outcome comes:
1. Gajji makes lots of money.
2. Singers get a chance to show case and improve during the show.
3. Sanchita is deserving winner, very few people dispute it. But in other cases, there is the lingering question. Specially when they are so close, it is hard to say. Regionalism, religionism, sympathy, girlfriend drama all these can play in final outcome.
4. To improve it, they should go back to old system of multiple judges as was in the case of Shreya Ghoshal.
