😆😆😆

here's a Bhoot story : one Halloween, there was A Manish loose on the streets. They said he had only one head, and his haunted bealgadi, which belonged to his greatest grandcousin, had only one wheel, but still managed to balance it self. The gadi was worked by 3 footed dogs, that had tails the size of small intestines. That halloween were kids tricking others, and treating themselves. Manish was jealous. He couldn't treat himmself, cuz he had no head, and he could pull a prank cuz he had no brain. SO he went to Frankenstein to get a head. The Manish finally got a head, and pulled many pranks, and got many treats. Then he saw some Mansion down the hill, that was all pink and rainbowish. The Manish went inside and saw only bats, and these freaks having a party. Manish now felt he wasn't the only ghost there. So he goes sits at a table, and the rest stand up, got on the floor, and follow the {STOP, DROP, AND ROLL} part, while laughing. Manish goes t a mirror, and sees this balloon that was his head. He thought "Frankenstein can't be so childish" - then soeone yells out "It was a kid dressed up as frankstein u idiot". And from the Halloween on, Manish was never ever seen again.....

BOO!

hi Priya, when u take up a case, do u try to do the best job for your client or for what you feel would be in the best interests of justice, assuming there's a conflict between the two? do u believe that even a mass murderer should have the right to good representation? also, do u believe in capital punishment? in plea-bargains?

Hey Rahul,

Normally, I would try to do what is the best for the client and try to do it within the four corners of justice. When there is a conflict, till date, I have tried to find a path whereby neither is compromised.

In one situation, the best interests of justice were at stake and it was not in the best interests of the client to go on with the case, we persuaded him to withdraw and settle the matter and in doing that, got him a good deal, which he would not have got had the trial proceded.

Yes. A mass murderer should also have proper representation.

And in some cases, I would advocate for capital punishment, particularly in cases of juvenile rape, serial killers, pyschopaths for whom no redemption would work. Such men are a burden on society and a tax payer should not be burdened to support the life of such a person.

Plea bargains - Yes. No one is always fully guilty or fully wronged. Life is always a different shade of grey. Depending on the facts of the case and the circumstances, plea bargaining is good, if it meets the interest of justice.

Hey all,

First of all, thanks for having me on your special seat. It is indeed an honour to occupy this seat, which has been so far occupied by some great stalwarts of this forum. Thanks for giving me the oppurtunity to interact with all of you on a more friendly level, than just as a MOD and member. However much we try to interact on the forum, there comes a time when the Mod in me overtakes the person in me and possibly, I may have hurt many of you with my words or actions. Putting that all back, you guys have been wonderful with your questions, with all the attention you gave me and with your feedback. The week has been enlightening to say the least.

I have tried my best to give as many direct dil se answers as possible. I have tried to write as many stories as possible too. Suny and Sareg ji, sorry, I havent been able to write yours. Adi's bhoot story is also incomplete. I am truly sorry. Actually, on Sunday, a short while after I agreed with Anu to be the MOTW, I had a fall and sprained my right shoulder and it has been agonising to type. But having agreed, I really did not want to back out and carried on. I tried my best, but some questions and some tasks, I just could not complete. One day, I will surely do it on another thread, thats a promise.

MOTW on SRGMP is said to be a monumental task to complete, but I am glad you guys have been kind to me. Some of the MOTWs for the other members have been stupendous and when I said yes, those are the first examples which came to mind. But this week has been satisfying, enjoyable, memorable and beautiful. I loved the member interaction questions, as it gave me a chance to go back and check out the members posts and see how they post, check out their style and I have learnt a lot more of the members than I did when I otherwise read it on the forum. The funny questions gave me a chance to let myself go and have a blast on the forum.

Someone asked if MOTW is for the popular people on the forum. I think we should say MOTW is to make the person familiar with all the regular members of the forum, to make friends and break the barrier of the internet and forge stronger friendships.

And Thanks, once again, for having me here. I hope this week on the hot seat has helped us break the Mod- Member barrier, if any existed, and we can be friends on the forum.
