Breathing Basics for Singing
http://www.dummies.com/WileyCDA/DummiesArticle/id-2013,subca t-ARTS.html

When you breathe normally, you automatically make a shallow inhalation and an even exhalation followed by a pause before it all starts again — you don't even need to think about it. On the other hand, when you sing, you not only need to inhale quickly and exhale slowly as you sing the phrases of a song, but you also need to maintain proper posture. Breathing in this manner provides you with the breath control that you need to sing efficiently. However, because controlled breathing doesn't come naturally to you, you need to train your body to breathe for singing. Keep reading to walk through the breathing basics.

To Sgrmp fan!!!

I wonder why you are so obsessed with Sameer.
He is only an 11 year old kid, leave him alone, this is is the height of lack of understanding on your part, for no amount of explaining to you that an 11 year old has not yet mastered the art of breathing properly, it comes with maturity, you cannot compare him to 2 -14 year old.

Sameer's fans, please do not reply to this *******!!!!

Hi Ron, I think I used a word that was a wee bit too harsh for our friend and the moderator edited it. so I have to watch my language. I was really mad, this member has always been obsessed with Sameer, I wonder what he has against this little guy. Because of his basic lack of understanding of maturity in kids,e.g. an 11 year old as compared to a 14 year old) and maybe not paying much attention to the shows he has gone on a Sameer bashing spree, and when I read his post on this breathing techniques for Sameer, I was really ticked off. I wonder if he can even sing a note. Does'nt understand that Sameer's voice will improve with age.

well even I feel that sameer does not have a breath control and so does Diwakar for fast paced songs....

Breathing helps u to keep the notes intact and hence sameer has to learn fast to breath control to sing in sur.... ofcourse he is 11 but he is in competition and every small thing of singing will be counted for that.... breathing is also a part of singing and he is weak in that.... the age does not matter as he is in competition....

He cd not sing preyasi because of this..... he cd not sing HR songs in the original notes because of this.... HR songs he was surely going off surs because of breathing....

All 3 of them are lacking in sum places or the other. But to sarcastically put down one contestant is not right. None of them are perfect actually far from it.
