IF SRGMP Blast!

This weekend, the IF SRGMP forum had a party to celebrate a year's completion. The party was organized by SRGMP Moderator Barnali di. Global Mods Bhaskar.T and S.Priya also pitched in.

The party was held at the JW Marriot in Mumbai, and was open for all - and all did come. The first to make an entry was Adi, and he immediately started helping out. The Mods asked him to rest and they would handle it, so he started shooing away the wasps instead. Jaya entered and immediately stood by the door, and showered all arriving guests with questions. Manju di arrived and asked Jaya a question - "Is there vegetarian food?" Jaya, knowing nothing about the food, was flummoxed, and quietly went and sat down in a corner, vowing never to ask tough questions again.

Appaji arrived and at that point, someone put on an HR CD. This angered him, and he went looking for the music system. Rahul arrived and started discussing the merits of having a party in JW Marriot when it could have been held in the Hilton. Punjini ji arrived along with her trio of angels - T., Urmi and Rijuta, all of them shouting 'Sur Sangraam Besuron Saavdhaan'! Hearing this the HR CD freaked out and stopped by itself. Vinnie and Anshu went and tried to fix it, in vain.

Meanwhile Surpremi also arrived and brought Musaed with him. He announced that an MD will be hearing Musaed and might offer him a chance. Everyone got excited. Surpremi refused to disclose the name of the MD - so everyone started arguing over who it would be. Half the people wanted HR, the other half wanted ID. Zee announced that if it was ID - she would accompany Musaed to the recording.

The younger folks were busy involved in activites - whether it was making dosa (Suny), eating it (Shubham), throwing tantrums because it was burnt (Tanisha), or calculating the probablity of the next dosa being unburnt (Noopur). Kavita, Dawn, Sri and Pallavi ji just sat in a corner and gossipped about hubbies. Iron flirted with every woman in sight. Leoni looked around for Bapigua. All the Anus got together and argued over who should be designated #1, #2 and #3.

Qwest, Salil, and Vijay discussed music from the 50s. Rani, Viper, and Sunitha discussed who would be out next in Lil Champs. Angie tortured GG with her typos (yes she has those even when talking). Jaadooji went about taking people's opinions on the party and recording the responses on his paper. Anol da arrived with Abhilash, and they took over the party. Seema brought biryani for everyone, and Daisy rushed straight to eat it. Deep was walking around half-sleepy. Abhi K was sitting in a corner dreaming about Amrita. Amogh went about asking people to sign petitions against reservations, and Bangboy opened a poll asking people to vote for the MVP of the night.
