But when i heard Debo's song , no soul in his song , and the beats were too high, seems noisy , may be it was remix, thats why , and in debo's voice was not at all sweet, I feel energy required for song was missing and in totally , when I add every thing for debo's version, it looks a very week effort by debo... but anyways, debo is a good singer😛

Well originaly there are three singers in this song kay kay, shaan and Pravin so one cannot do a fair comparison.....i have not heard debojit's album hence cannot comment but had heard him sing that song in C2005...it was one of his better performaces relatively.

There is one song from a movie "Aa gale lag ja " "Mera tujhse hain pehle ka naata koi ".
This song was also sung by Sameer in the ongoing little champs.

The song which has been originally sung by Sushma Shreshtha ( a child artist ) later on she became purnima, is very sweet and soulful.
The other version is sung by Kishore Kumar but doesn't sound very romantic as it is meant to be in the movie.

The child's version takes a very beautiful meaning and has been sung very well by shushma Shreshtha....she could have easily defeated any of these little champs at her age when she has sung this song.

imagine if rafi were to sing
"kabhi kabhi meredil main khayal aata hai"
..........
"suhaag raat hai ghoonghat utha raha hoon mai
simat rahi hai tu sharmake apni baahon main"...
mukesh sang it beautifully,in a chaste manner..almost in reverance..

had rafi sang it in his inimitable way..there would be a very blushing bride behind the ghoonghat 😳

as reference remember the song rafi sang for gurudutt
"tu mere saamne hai tere zulfein hain khuli, tera aanchal hai dhala, main bhala hosh main kaise rahoon"..put mala sinha in real 'dharamsankat' 😆

'Dil hoom hoom kare' from Rudali. Both Lata ji and Bhupen Hazarika sang the song. Though Lataji's version was more melodious, but no one can ignore the voice quality of Bupen da. Difficult to compare such beatiful composition.

My opinion on some more...

"Mujhko is raat ki tanhai mein" was again sung by Mukesh and Lata. Mukesh's version in this one is better IMHO. Its a genre that he excelled in...

"Pardesiyon se na" - Rafi's better than Lata's...

"Zid na karo" by Yesudas "beats" Lata's version...

Wasn't "Chando o chanda" sung both by Kishore and Lata. I cant decide which one was rendered better - I like them both...

I always thought Asha ji would have been a better choice for this song than Lata ji. And I agree, Yesudas is fabulous in this song.

Shushma Shresta was studying in my convent school in Prabhadevi, Bombay, quite a few classes ahead of me. She always used to be asked to sing during all the functions and it was superb. Ofcourse we didn't know then she would become into a full playback singer. Just my brush (though pheripheral) with a celebrity....

there is this movie dil vil pyaar vyaar..which has Rd burman hits recorded by todays singers..

it was aweful particularly the"ghum hai kisikepyaar mein"..and" hansini meri hansini" sung by none other than haiharan and kavitha krishnamurth(i am their fan)...unhone us gaane ko itna thod marod ke gaaya hai...added so many murkies, probably to showcase their classical training...but didnt work at all ...singing straight and simple bhi ek ada haiand believe it or not equally tough.

Tum mujhe yon bhula na paoge

Lata'jis version is great, but Rafi Saab's version just just stands out... Dil ko kahin aise chhoota hai ki it just takes you to some other plain...... 😳
