I still haven't been able to download Appaji's song. But it must be terrific if everyone says so. Appaji, do you agree that one can sing better when lying down? Kishore Kumar used to do that I believe, and you are his fan.

On another note, I saw 'Deewaar' some days back on TV. When Amitabh came on the scene, I absent-mindedly thought "Ah here comes Apparaohoare" and the next minute laughed uncontrollably at the thought that you had managed to commit such a fantastic "identity theft". 😆

seriously, we cant have me lowering the fine standards set here now... i cant sing for the life of me. cant sing, cant dance. i have to be literally dragged onto the floor and then too when i am not in my senses. actually, there was a time when i was quite good but i know what these intervening years have done to that "golden voice". 😆am so ashamed to hear myself sing nowadays that i dont even dare try when there is noone to hear!

I would like to share something I recently saw on TV. I was watching the last season of American Idol and one episode had 'Andrea Bocelli', the Italian singing legend as the guest. He was mentoring the contestants. He told one particular contestant that the voice should come not from one's throat, but from deep inside, somewhere from the stomach. He told him to try his song lying down. He did, and it actually sounded better! He thanks the maestro for the new technique he learnt 😊.

Sahanaji, I'm sure you may have heard Andrea Bocelli sometime. Celine Dion said of him 'If god had a singing voice, it would sound a lot like Andrea Bocelli'. So if Andrea Bocelli's and Kishore da's voices and singing styles are anything to go by, I'm sure it must be a great technique. Appaji, what are your thoughts?
