Salil,
I wonder the same if it is the same Ronkani Gupta we know from SRGMP days. Having Sonu sing for her and for RGV film hats off. Music is not so bad but it is ok. I wish there was a way to confirm is it is the same Ronkani.
She is the girl I would say "who dared to be different" 👏
Varshaji,
I found rave reviews of Ronkini's composition. Here are some of them

Ronkini Gupta is the guest composer for the final song 'Kaanha Kaanha'. The number comes as a complete surprise in the beginning as it is a shift from the pop tracks that had come earlier but on hearing closely, one can sense that it could well have an element of humor in the movie's narrative as at places it describes the plight of being a woman. Very well written by Satchit Puranik, it has Sonu Nigam coming up with the best sung song in the entire album. A beautiful composition that makes for an extremely pleasant hearing experience!

Spiritualism with loads of witty humor in satirical verses and phrases impresses and entertains in "Kanha Kanha". It's worshipping Lord Krishna and emanating con acts of evil world in humorous ways. Sonu Nigam delivers slow paced penchant soundtrack with classical musical set up. This is the only track from guest composer Ronkini Gupta, and it impresses too.

Kaanha Kaanha [Singer: Sonu Nigam, music: Ronkini Gupta, lyrics: Satchit Puranik]
Seems its the season of devotional numbers being incorporated in the movies. Just a few days back we had one by Jagjit Singh in Shikhar and now it is Sonu Nigam's turn to come up with one in 'Kaanha Kaanha'. The last song in the album, it has good lyrics by Satchit Puranik, but in the context of the movie they should turn out to be hilarious as they deal with the suffering Aftab Shivdasani is going through after being converted into Antara Mali [that's the plot of the movie!]. Extremely well sung by Sonu Nigam, inspite of the theme, it doesn't loose its devotional essence. Quite enjoyable track by composer Ronkini Gupta, even if one hears it stand-alone without keeping the movie's storyline in mind.
Qwest, VJ, Barnali, Swar.. Do you folks have any additional information on Ronkini Gupta -- the music composer
