Adesh had told Hema that he knew someone had hired IT guys to do SMS voting - recall that clip ??? Now HR defends SMS voting. Can someone please connect the dots here. Is my logic failing me or could this all be true??? OMG : HR has an IT company !!! 😉

I can only talk about the show, which was conducted under my supervision. And I can assure you that the result of my show was perfect. And if you are talking about the voting through SMS, then I can only say that we need to frame the rules first.

So, you finally agree that the Debo was the deserving winner for your show😛 Wish, you would have been the same sport when the results were announced😃

No, it is not like that. I can say on behalf of the judges that they were sure about their results. The important factor behind the SMS voting is to get the financial aid from mobile companies. Every thing is based on money and to make a show hit we need to present it in an excited way. So, to make our show exciting we need so much of money that we had to seek SMS support.

I can imagine the reality show organizers gunning for the financial angle but the current generation MD's supporting this trend !!!

Is this what music has been compromised to???😡😕 Is money the only factor?? what about those talents losing out because of the perils of SMS voting ???

haan yaar, as a "public" enterprise, they shld think of the guni segment of the "public". if they go bankrupt falling over themselves to support our fine-honed sense of talent by doing away with money-generating ideas, so be it. wouldn't we have acted differently in any case if we were at the helm of affairs of those companies. kyoon bhai?

arre yaar, without the dosh, it's hard to advertise or build up the contestants in front of the public. takes money to also conduct new all-India talent searches where they go from town to town, and have top MDs involved in the process for months etc. In any event, they have an obligation to serve shareholder interests, not just provide free-ka-entertainment for the guni public. they in any case will always find things to gripe about with any choices/ selections that are made. ab koi kare toh kya kare?

as for "talents losing out", we somehow talk of talent as if there's one universal truth. far from reality, my friend. there's playback talent, there's talent that does live performances well. there's talent that one judge would prefer. there's talent that another judge would prefer. there's talent that certain folks prefer, other folks do not. very nebulous stuff.

best anyone can hope for is to get public face-time or MD exposure. sooner or later that's needed unless someone is planning to cut songs for a collection that will never see the light of day...

Jaya, i think there are fine lines with plagiarism- once we cross that line, it's plagiarism, and most of us are not experts to judge that anyway. when we dont cross that line, it's all adaptation and building on each other's achievements and prior work, like we have in any field. unless someone gets sued and convicted, everything else is innuendo IMO.

as for how sporting he was or wasnt, well we did not see it all did we? there was pandemonium on stage... in any case, one can be judged for instant reactions or for second-thought kind of reactions. in HR's case, i heard that he gave Debo an offer later on.😊
