Bhoot, nose, jeans, topi tak it's all fun.. but I, as a neutral, see no reason to bash the composer HR relentlessly when his music is doing so well.. I'm not a great judge of music, but if he's regularly getting offers and moving from success to success, he must be doing something right

I never liked HR during C2005, and I actually began to support Debojit because I felt sympathy that he was being treated unfairly by the other mentors - the underdog effect.

Ironically, seeing the majority constantly bash HR on these forums, I'm actually beginning to feel the same way for HR now as I felt for Debo back then. You might not know this, but you're actually turning some people to feel sympathetic towards him.

Good point Shady 👍🏼
Although I am not in favour of quantifying music and judging the quality by balance book - but you have a point here.

I think we all should all focus on logical reasoning.

In summary again - maaro magar payar se 😳

Anyways - coming over to the point that you made that if he sells, he must be doing something right... now again we are getting confused with quantity vs. quality here... Even Govinda-Karishma-David Dhawan used to sell like crazy at one point of time... but at best we can describe that genre is obscene comedy... Commercially, Kalia, Lawaris or Coolie might be bigger hits, they still do not qualify as better movies when we compare them to Abhimaan and Mili... Its all about appreciating the refined quality Shady and not the mass production quantity... Precisely the reason I would still choose to listen to HDDCS not ABA after 5 years!!

Brilliant Jaya 👏

😆 kya mu kee khaayee hai vinit fans ne 👏..... 3 mths down the line they are not able to digest that they LOST.....LOST is what vinit really did.******* dont****** find some relief or an outlet to your anger while seeing debojit's particular album not doing good upto "your" expectations. why bother to comment 😕 when u & every1 here does BELIEVE...STRONGLY BELIEVES that no matter how good 👏 debo does he will always be the thorn in your eyes ...the challenge is over, Vinit has lost. PERIOD 👎🏼 . Move on. no amount of cribbing, whinning, cursing, demeaning debo will change the fact that C2005 winner IS...REALLY IS DEBO 👍🏼. Nothing & nothing can change the fact...not even chanting "lets rock" 20,000 times a day by all vinit fans... Vinit could not win....dont let him become a poor loser because of this attitude you'll have. Vinit is a gr8 singer, no1 can deny that, not even debo fans, but because of the *** tactis enforced by HR , he already became a Pawn (mohra),now u guys please dont repeat the same thing by using him as a pawn to vent out your anger in name of being passionate & crazy about him & thus demeaning Debo....Just 1 more thing ur very own VINIT & HR have been saying this (may be just to show off....but they did say it)

JO JEETA WO HI SIKANDAR !!!!!!!!! 👍🏼 👏

Karan,

Please don't bash HMV marketing strategy. How can you say such belittling things about HMV??? Have you ever thought …what someone knowing a sales team member of HMV might feel??? You are pointing a finger at their credibility!!! How can you do that?? What about the sensitivity of these members who know some friend whose dad or bro is working in HMV???

The rule of economics says that sometimes cutting supply short increases the demand and this yields better revenue. May be HMV is following that logic??

As regards to trade numbers at #9 is not because ..it is not selling..it is because these shops aren't meeting the demand needs at this point of time. Please get out of the trade papers..( what they say also always may not be true)..and visit the shops first hand and see if there is demand!!

In South India.. as I said yesterday, people are still waiting for fresh stock and believe me these people will still wait till they get it.

And if your definition of Debu's disc not playing in car or pub..well I think Jaya's has answered for all of us..anything over that would be redundant..

Now coming to the point of negative publicity :

Let's turn the wheels and go back a few months…to the C2005 days.. :

Vinit sings "tera Jadoo chal gaya..".. performance wise just too good.. What does Ismailji do??? He gets down from the stage and goes and blesses Vinit.

Another scene..Debu gives a brilliant performance –the qawaali numbers.. what does Adesh and Himesh do?? They give him 4 and 6..!!!

Himesh in his hyping of Vinit forgets all about Ujjaini and Paresh. Tell me was that justified??? If he did choose them for his gharana..did they not deserve some appreciation or hyping from the guru as well??

Adesh staged the "Assam ki voice" drama when his and himesh's giving low points to Debu did not work out…Was that justified???

Himesh at every corner taunting Debu with condescending words..and indirectly hinting he is lousy—was that right???

Walk out of Hemu, Himani and Vinit.. was that right???

In this forum ..Vinit supporters tearing Debu apart, cursing him and his fans , calling those Indians traitors who voted for Debu and also many other unpalatable names.. was that justified????

So tell me who started the negative campaign?? Too forceful marketing also has its fall outs.. Some who genuinely believed Vinit has potential opted out due to Himesh's force fullness and switched sides..I used to support Vinit a lot too at one time..

People in glass houses should not throw stones..

Vinit has potential to reach great heights but I am sorry to say.. he has to broaden his horizons.. lest he'll get stereo typed as Anuradha Paudwalji ..who despite such immense talent could not shine much.

Vinit's voice is still in the transition phase which need to be conditioned to suit the requirement of playback singers for matured heroes.

As for Debu he has the background ..what he had lacked was self confidence, which he has got back now. Provided he gets the right songs and the right music arrangement.. I am sure he'll go places.

I rest my case with this..

Anol, to your comments i will reply seperately as I dont wanna bring that in this topic. All I can say is that if some of you Videshi residents are not finding the Album then please blame it on the not so enthusiastic distribution of Saregama audio. Even locally this is the problem. I always believe that the song is a hit only when it is found in abundance between the people. Sorry but I have not heard the song play in anyone car or home (disc to no chance).
When I can readily accept that Banaras Album was a flop and even Shaadi Se Pehle was just barely average, I was hoping that others would also see what the sales figures speak.
And I wonder why all of you are blaming me to get the sales figure in this post and also for doing -ve publicity for Debo. Why do all of you forget that you are also doing the same when it comes to HR. Mr.Adi is the first to do so and also the others and when some one does it back to you, u dont like it and complain. Tch Tch.

well said...you're right...what HR did to Paresh and Ujjaini wasn't right at all...Ujjaini said, when she was elliminated, that she was missing Jatin-Lalit right now...cuz they acted as real mentors to Ujjaini..rather than HR...i am supporting HR, becuz i like his songs, not his attitude...i dont like his attitude at allll...it bugs me...NOW, the Assam ki Voice, i think Aadesh and HR weren't unfair at all, they were just bringing the truth to people's face..beleive it or not...deboo fans...you can't deny that at all...you know that the majority of the votes deboo received was from the north-east...he barely received any votes from the other portion of India...Vinit, on the other hand, did get get votes from his state, and all over the india...the thing i just don't get at all...10 yrs. later, who's gonna remember that deboo's from Assam and Vinit's from Lucknow??? Now, the contest, half the people will forget that there was even a contest called SaReGaMaPa Challenge 2005...but there will be some...and they're not gonna forget at all...and what Shadytown said was right...people are bashing HR too much...

Ab chahe jitni behas kar lo iska koi ant nahin hai. But don't you think that when something gets popular indirectly we have hand in this? Does not that mean that it's selling? Making films, making music is this not all business? To do business people will go in the direction what they think will sell in the market and return their money with profit.

I have more problem with people making movies, which are shown in general theaters in US & showing culture in wrong way just to make moeny and people ask us the question so this is the way your culture is...

Yes I do agree people have compromised their morals just to make money but we control oursleves not anyone else. It's sad but the only thing we can do is support good things and hope that in future we will have majority who will support the quality stuff.

I want to add few more cheap famous songs: Altaf Raja's Tum to thahre pardesi saath kaya nibhaoge and Pakistani singer something Amanullah Khan or whatever. Whose T-series songs of "Accha sila dis tune mere payar ka" were very famous at that time. HR's singing is of that standard. Only difference is HR's songs has more synthetic beats and those thing. Otherwise Naak ka gana to naak ka hi kahlayega jitna bhi cd bech lo.

SVh...

Like how some people cannnot fathom Debu being the" Voice of India" - same way there are some who do not LIKE Himesh Reshammiya kind of music..

So to each his own.. you go whining "injustice" and we go complaining 'lousy'- to each his own!!!👍🏼

But if you ask me I find HR music 🤢 👎🏼wouldn't even waste chiller on that..👎🏼😛

East is east and west is west..and never the twain shall meet...😕
