I dont know about the legal thing, but if i remember correctly his first marriage was in his village with the bride of his parents choice. As udit says he was supporting the lady till few years back (may be he was supporting some others as well) he stopped supporting her and thats why this issue has come.

Well not necessarily a similar voice.. but also someone who probably sings the same level of songs as him.. I thought Sonu because Udit and Sonu seem to be jostling for the top songs nowadays (like the Khaike Paan Banaraswala which eventually went to Udit).

Both these singers are usually the first choice for A-list actors like SRK, Hrithik, Aamir, etc. So Sonu would be benefit the most from Udit's downfall.

Note: I am not making any claims or blaming anyone here.

Certainly this is a black spot for Udit Narayan the person... but I would care less about it... Its upto him how he manages it and does not let affect his profession... And as long as that is fine, I dont see why his fans or listeners be bothered about it... Sorry, just my POV folks...

I am the biggest of Kishore Kumar fans and whether we like it or not, even he did not lead a personal life by example... But all of that does not affect the genius within him at all, does it?

Udit ji came to SRGMP once with his wife in the Childrens Special Final. Didn't appeared as the brightest bulb on the christmas tree to me. Childrens special – so all of the audience were kids – and he said – "aaplogo ki Ashirwad se mai is maukam pe phoucha hu". Ashirbad of 'Kids'!!!
Later he made a bad judgement too – Avrokanti was a clear winner but…

Disclaimer : I like his singing – specially in those songs with folk base.
