I can really understand what you mean by tin mango juice and 'durlaksha' part of it... 😆..... I guess that comes with staying abroad...... Aapla Hapus cha ras👏 kuthe ani ha tinned mango pulp 😡kuthe.....

Hopefully when I will visit India this June, I will be able to eat Hapus for the first time after about 8 years...... 😃

BTW where do you live in USA? I am from Alabama.

I agree that we get some good mango varieties here.....

But Hapus is Hapus...... 👏

No other mango can match to it..... And having eaten hapus for all my life, now it is very difficult to start liking any other variety as a replacement for hapus.......

We do get all kinds of mangoes in Corvallis, Oregon. This place nothing short of being a"Nandanvan". I have no desire to go any where but this small beautiful, serene, peaceful town. Life is very peaceful in Corvallis. We do get Kent mangoes here too. But since I am from Hyderabad, I can get in to a friendly argument about the superiority of Hapus mango. We in Hyderabad are used to "Benishan" mangoes. It is full and very "rasaL". Very good to eat with chapaties. Alphonso is wonderful mango. But for us there is nothing like Benishan. We are begining to get those also here now, though not under that name.

Sorry every one. After posting the last reply, I noticed my name is changed to kbc2. I just realized that yesterday night, a family had visited me and used this computer. They must have gotten on the forum and changed the log in name and forgot to log out. Any way this is Govind Deshmukh (corvallisi). It seems the computer remembers the last logger. Govind ji, this is what I think....... ruNanubandh itakyaa sahaja-sahaji tuTat nasatat...... Lahaan paNiche te diwas ani tya athawaNi ani tya awadi-niwadi hi itakya sahaja-sahaji suTat nasatat...... Hapus kaay aNi benishan kaay, *aapali* ji chav aahe ti ithe miLat nahi hi mazi takrar hoti.....

Anyways...... Mi actually 6 mahinya purvich Bharatat jaun aale..... paN gelya 8 varshaat kadhich April-May-June madhe jaNe zale nahi...... tyamuLe kadhi hapus khaNyachi sandhi miLali nahi...... Ji ata miLnar aahe....... MhaNun mi khush.... 😃

I also agree that the speed with which everything is changing in India is amazing....... But sad part is the change is only in the income and lifestyle of upper-middle class and higher class people..... The poor people and the state of poverty is the same or gone worse..... The best change I would like to see is in the cleanliness in everything... Be it a road or a process....!!!

I guess we should not chat here, unless we want to hear from mods.... Plus Nihira's space should stay for her!!! 😊
