Since it divides cleanly into 7, it's a multiple of 7

Since dividing into 2,3,4,5, or 6 gives you 1 left over, it's 1 more than the multiples of 2,3,4,5, and 6.

2x3x4x5x6 = 720.. Add 1, which is 721.. that's divisible by 7.. for the others, there's always 1 left over.

okk..let me tell a few facts about this question...this was first asked about a decade ago in either Stanford/Harvard Interview.The person was greeted with this question to be unnerved thoroughly.Later it was passed on to some interviewie at the IIM A interview.I came to about this from someone who had to face this question at the XLRI interview...

Here is the answer they expect from you....

"Yes i know what you are saying is true but the fact remains that my dad is her only customer..."

ps: Shadybhai you dont need to become a Dharam paji to answer this... he has no chance of making an entry to those schools....and hope you are happy with the answer...😃

I did, use mathematical function & operations. No tricks like Adi or anybody, simple math.

Arre yaar main aisa hi jawaab dene wala tha! Something like, "Yea, and an expensive one.. my dad pays her most of his paycheck every month". Phir soncha ki nahi, kuch aur hoga. Oh well
